Chapter Thirty-One

I'm so sorry that I've been gone for so long guys. But I have some new for you on why I have been absent. Although I know it is no excuse. I have a book that a publisher is interested in. I'm not saying it's going to get published or anything like that. But there is a slight chance it will. So I have been trying to work on it. Now it's not this book or any other book I have ever put up. So forgive me if I don't put anything on here for some time. But that book is a higher priority right now. I'm sorry but here you guys go. I know it's short but at the moment it's all I got. I do have another story up called Olympus Falling. If you want check it out. It is updated a little more frequently than this one. But as I have said, the book that might be published is at the top of my list.

"Tess it's so good to see you." Christal hugged me while holding her son to her chest. Deak stared up at me, he didn't do anything other than that.

"Do you mind?" I looked down at Deak. He was so perfect, a perfect child. Christal thrust him into my arms. He wrapped his little finger around my thumb, he then smiled up at me.

"He really does like you. Just like his father." She gave me a small smile. Hayden was a very touchy subject for the both of us. Christal really did love him and I admire her for that. She was a good woman unlike me. I go behind my mates back and sleep with a man I barley know.

"He loved you." I blurted out. It felt necessary at the time to say it out loud, because it was true. Hayden did love her he was just blind to it because of the magic.

It makes me wonder if Hayden and I had a relationship at all. Everything felt so real but it did with John too, and I have to remember everything with John didn't happen. Although the memories were still all there. Somehow they were each different from the last.

Flashback

"Happy birthday Tessa." John leaned in and tried to steal a kiss. I push him away from me.

"You're crazy." I sighed he just smiled.

"Crazy for you. Dance with me." It was more of a statement than anything else. He pulled me into his body and we began to sway back and forth. There was no music but we really didn't need any.

"Tessa I am in love with you." John pulled me in closer and kissed my neck. "I have always been in love with you. Please just say you will be mine. You could be all mine."

"John no. Hayden." I started but didn't know what else to say. That was explanation enough, well it was for me. Hayden I loved him, I need him back.

"He doesn't love you. Not like I do." John's face hardened at the mention of Hayden. He hated him more than anything.

"You're right he doesn't. But he loves me the way I'm supposed to be loved. You just want me for what I can give you." I rolled my eyes at him. He placed his hand possessively over my hip and growled.

"Don't says that." His eyes turned black and I smiled.

"Why not Johnathan can't handle the truth? I'm using you the same way you're using me. We're toxic." Laughing I pulled away from him and walked towards the door.

"Tessa stop. That's not true. You know that what you can give me means nothing." He said and I laughed.

"Please John you're power hungry." I laughed.

"Where are you going?" He called after me.

"To find Hayden. It is my birthday after all." I smiled and left. Hayden wasn't hard to find. He was standing by Christal and a bunch of other girls.
