I wake up to Lexie's screams. I sit straight up and and look to see what's wrong, I see her next to me in bed. Her body is shaking and her eyes are closed so It must be a bad dream. I try to shake her awake but nothing happens. I grip her shoulders and say her name "Lexie? Lexie! Lexie wake up!" her eyes burst open full of tears as she searches the room. She looks terrified which scares me "What ha-happened?" "you were screaming you had a bad dream"

She is still shaking so i pull her close to me to calm her down and help her feel safe.

"I-it was the crash" I can feel her tears on my chest so I stroke her hair "shh it's okay, your safe now. your home with me"

She slowly stops shaking. I continue stroking her hair until she begins to breath evenly. I put my back up against the backboard and hold her closely as she sleeps.

The next morning I wake up to see Lexie still wrapped up in my arms. she wakes up as well and stretches out a little bit. I smile and push the hair out of her face away. she opens her eyes and looks up at me. I couldn't help but smile "Hey" she smiled back "hey yourself" her voice isn't very strong so the screaming must have strained her more then I thought.

"What do you want for breakfast?" I look into her eyes.

She smiles and kisses me gently before pulling back "I can make it"

I can't help but chuckle "Do you even know how to work the oven?"

She gives me a look "Yes, and if I need any help I'll just ask you"

I smile and kiss her forehead

"I love you, Lex"

She smiles as she untangles herself from my arms "I love you too, Mark"

When I get out of the shower twenty minutes later I smell something delicious. I dry off quickly then get dressed. I wear a plain red shirt with dark jeans. I walk out into the kitchen to see Lexie standing by the table smiling. There are two plates on the table, they each have two pancakes with Butter, Syrup and blueberries on top. Next to them are about 6 pieces of bacon. Silverware has been laid out and a two glasses of orange juice fill the center of the table.

I walk closer and smile at her "Wow". She smiles even wider "Where did you learn all this?" i ask looking at the table then at her.

"Food Network. I watched it a lot while I was in bed so it's all up here" she raised her right hand and tapped her index finger on her temple.

I walk up to her and give her a kiss. It lasts a couple seconds which go by too quickly. "Your amazing you know that?" I brush a strand of hair behind her ear and she smiles and blushes a little "Yeah" I smile back and pull out a chair for her. She sits down and I push it back in, I walk over to my side of the table and sit in my chair. I pick up a piece of bacon and take a bite, Lexie looks at me anxiously to see what I think. I raise my eyebrows because of the delicious flavor, it's cooked just right. "Wow" I say with some bacon still in my mouth, She frowns "is it burnt? because it looked a little burnt but I didn't have time-" I take her hand "No it's not burnt, it's amazing" I smile and she does the same.

I finish my piece of bacon and pick up my fork and knife, i begin cutting into my pancake. I pick up a piece with my fork and pop it in my mouth, I chew it and once again it's delicious.

I nod and she smiles and begins eating herself.

"So what do you want to do on your last free day before work" I ask between bites

She swallows and answers "I don't know.." she looks at the table in thought. An idea suddenly comes to mind "We could get married" she chokes a little on her food and coughs trying to breathe "What? today? we don't have anything planned. i mean I don't have a dress, we didn't write out vows there would be no one to do it" her voice starts to freak out a little like it does when she's stressed "Hey" I take her hand across the table and hold it in mine "Look at me" she looks into my eyes "We don't have to if you don't want to"

I can see the wheels turning in her head "it's not a bad idea, really but. I just don't know how we would do it" i nod "Well, you could wear the white dress in your closet. We could go to city hall, or write it down on a post-it" she smiles. After a few seconds she hesitates "I just want it to be perfect" I squeeze her hand "I know. but do you love me?"

She doesn't hesitate to respond this time "Of course"

I smile "then what could go wrong?"

She smiles "Okay. lets go to city hall". "Lets go get married"
