Into pieces
And left me out
To walk in the cold
You gave my spot
To someone newer
Then built me up
With false hope
That's when I knew I had to grow up
And find another one to hold
That's when I knew who'd treat me better
If I offered my hand out first
—No one told me it could be so hard to love
When external love is breaking your heart
No one told me I could be so warm and loved
If I looked in a mirror
Don't hide
Come out
You are perfect
You are worth it
Only you can stop you know
You are stronger
You don't falter
When the next one turns you down
You have you
And it's true
You were broken piece by piece
But your scars heal
And your heart mends
When you discover that no one's love can compete
With yours—
It's so hard to love
When there's none in return
But it's not love unless
You're in it for the world
Just breathe
And look back
To the one who deserves it most
Hug their heart
Warm within
And give them the world
Love yourself
