The Pizzeria

Sarah's mum pulled up outside the pizzeria. Her daughter's car was exactly where it had been when she'd dropped her and that fox off last night. She clearly hadn't left. She walked inside the pizzeria and was immediately bombarded with a cacophony of screaming children. They were everywhere. Some were running around while others were sitting eating pizza. It was chaotic. On the stage the animatronics sang and danced. It was an annoyingly catchy song but that's what they all were nowadays. They spotted her glaring at them. She noticed their dance moves changed, completely out of time and not exactly rehearsed.

They began doing the sprinkler starting from the door she'd entered in ending bang on backstage. They did it 3 times before she got the hint. She began walking towards backstage and they nodded, disguising it as a headbang. She reached the door and they stopped doing the sprinkler thank lord, but they kept head banging for one more bar before going back to what they had been doing before. Sarah's mum tried the door knob before lightly knocking. Whether it would be heard or not she had no idea. Probably not with the level of noise in this place. The door opened just a crack. Enough for two eyes to pear out. The fox.

"Quick. You can't be seen coming in here." He said. Sarah's mum quickly slipped into the room. She heard the door shut behind her and the lock click. She felt uneasy being locked in here. She had to remind herself the fox was the one that could be trusted. To some extent. He went and slumped down on the floor at the opposite side of the room. He looked almost drunk. There was no life in him. Sarah's mum stayed standing. She wasn't sitting near the fox. Not when he could easily kill her in a second. Although looking at him now she didn't reckon he'd be doing anymore moving. She could let herself out.

"Where's Sarah? She hasn't come back home and her car's still here." The fox didn't reply. She really needed to remember his name. What was it? Foxy. Yes. That's it. Foxy.

"Look, I'm not leaving until I know where my daughter is so please tell me Foxy." Still no reply. Not even a slight flinch. That's it. No more being polite.

"Okay. You know what. I tried being polite. I don't trust you at all and yet I haven't unlocked the door. I haven't yelled at you. I've tried being nice but that clearly isn't getting me anywhere so screw that. You're going to tell me where my daughter is right now. Was it you? Or was it one of your pathetic friends? Did you kill her. I think you did. I want to know where she is right now or you're gonna have more than a few scratches when I'm done with you."

"Go ahead. Nobody cares about me. At least I'll know you care enough to beat me up. And the others didn't touch Sarah. We don't know where she is." The fox spoke quietly.

"I think you do know where Sarah is and I think you're just covering up for your friends. I think you killed her. You betrayed her after she put so much trust in you. You're nothing but filthy robots. The lot of you." The fox visibly tensed when she said that.

"I would never betray Sarah. Neither would the others. We'd all give our lives for her if we had ones to give."

"What are you talking about. Your friends beat her nearly to death the other night. What about that eh?"

"It wasn't them. What Sarah's told you. It wasn't the truth. None of it has been from the sounds of it. Not if you still think the others would kill Sarah."

"What are you talking about. Sarah knows better than to lie to me. She would— "

"What has she told you. What has she said has happened these past nights." Interrupted the fox.

"She said that you've helped her keep the other disgusting robots away from her. That the first two nights she got by on her own but after I left you two hid back here till she left. That the chicken injured her twice and that until the other night you hadn't had any runs in with the other things."

"Ok. Let's get two things straight. One, we're not things. Two, Sarah's been lying to you this whole time. The first two nights are pretty brief but it's the truth. After that it's been lies.

"The third night she managed to do the extraordinary. She made peace with the others. She managed to get us to talk to the owner of this place. The others stopped trying to kill us once they knew. We had a burglar break in. We beat him up. The next night Sarah's neighbor came to check out the place. While he was here the burglar came back. He wasn't to happy with us and he decided to bring his gang. The leader threatened to kill Sarah so we backed down. They took us to the cupboard. They each beat us up then realised they hadn't plenty of time till this place opened and decided to do round two. The leader told Sarah this and made a deal with her. She'd do round two for everyone and they wouldn't touch the rest of us again. I couldn't do anything. I tried to fight them but they held me back. Nearly all of them. Then I bought her home when they were finished. Last night we had a...visitor. He didn't like us that much. I can't blame him. It was a golden version of Freddy. We tried fighting him, tried keeping him back. Keeping him at bay. He got Sarah. He took her to the closet. I tried to get her back but the others stopped me. Said I couldn't just rush in there. That I needed a plan. Although it wasn't long till he came back. Sarah was unconscious. That's when I snapped. I tried fighting him. It was going well till he threw me from the office door to the stage. Then he beat up the others and took Sarah. When I could move again she was gone. We searched for her all night but we couldn't find her anywhere. I don't know if she's even here anymore."

The fox was visibly shaking now. Sarah's mum was in shock. Her daughter had lied to her. Why? To protect her friends. If you'd call them that. And now she was gone. The fox, Foxy, clearly cared about her. Apparently the others to. And she had just called them disgusting robots.

"I-I'm so sorry. I had no idea. I jumped to conclusions and I yelled at you and I was so mean to you. Oh my god I'm an idiot. I should've known. I should've asked more."

"It's fine. You had no idea. How could you if you were never told the truth." That's when they heard the jingle of keys outside the door.

"Hide." Foxy whispered. Sarah's mum ran behind a shelf, hidden by the spare parts. Foxy was now limp in a different position. They heard the door click and someone walk in. There was the click of the lock again and a sick, evil laughter.

"You lost your little toy. Didn't you. Lucky I found her. You'll be getting some new friends soon. Better make use of your toy before they come." There was a thud and even more laughter.

"I know you can hear me. I'm not stupid. You think I watch the camera feeds for nothing." There was laughter one more time before the person left the room, the lock clicking behind them.

"He's sick. Sick, twisted and evil." Foxy said, looking down at what had made the noise. Sarah's mum came out of hiding and gasp when she saw what was on the ground. Sarah.

"Thank lord you were hiding. That man is dangerous and unpredictable. He should be locked in jail. I hope he rots in a cell for all of eternity. Death's too good for him." Sarah ran to her daughter's side while Foxy examined her for any sign of injury. Sarah's mum checked her pulse. She was alive, but from the looks of it, she had a slight bruise on her head. There was an announcement saying the store was closing but Sarah's mum made no move to leave. It was going to be a long night.
