the wind signifies our will to let go.
it blows and blows past our skin,
past our hair,
past our eyes
and dries up our tears.

it alleviates the burning of having to suffer,
constantly calms us down as we stand in the midst of it.

we let go.

we hold out our hands and stretch our smiles,
close our eyes and feel sentiment wash away.
we block out the sounds of alternatives,
with the wind so strong,
with the wind howling,
with the wind by our side,
by our skin,
it becomes alright to let go of things.

things you felt guilty of letting go,
things you realize would mean more if you let go,
things that needed to be let go of.

the wind.
you can let go of things.
and the wind will be by your side.
