~Sam's pov~

I've been in Neverland for about two weeks now. Since Peter Pan discovered I wasn't a boy like he thought he kicked me out. His shadow hunted me for a little while so he could take me back, but I managed to out run it. Now I'm at the point where I need some food.

If I don't eat soon I know I might die. It's been almost a week and my fairy godmother hasn't helped me find food.

I was so hungry I felt like crying until I caught the sent of some stew. I decided to follow the smell and at least take a look at the stew, and I ended up being lead to a ship.

"There don't seem to be anyone on board, and the smell lead me here." I whispered to myself.

I looked around to make sure no one was looking, before I decided to take the risk and sneak onto the ship.

It can't be too bad if I get caught anyway. Prisoners get fed too, and all I care about right now is food.

After I was on the ship I looked around and ducked behind a stack to barrels and crates. As crew members began to board the ship and headed below deck.

I know it probably wasn't smart after I noticed the crates were full of fruits and vegetables, but I was set on getting to that stew.

I ducked down even more when I saw a big man open a door and walk off the ship. I quickly ran into the room as the door began to close.

I saw a big pot over a metal stove full of burning wood. The smell grew even stronger the close I got.

Suddenly I heard a loud noise outside and I decided I needed to hide. But as I ran to hide I bumped into the big man that had just left here.

"What the hell!" He yelled as he grabbed the collar of my blouse. "I will not have a rat in my kitchen."

He drug me out of the kitchen and I realized we were out at sea. I didn't realize I had been hiding that long.

"Lookie here boys. We got ourselves a gift."

I tried to break free from his grasp, but I just ended up making it worse for myself.

"Let me go!" I yelled as I swung my arms at him.

"Why should I release a rat like you?" He asked in a taunting tone.

The crew began to grow crazy with all the excitement. I think some of them were also drunk because I could smell liquor in the air.

"What's with all the noise!" A man yelled as he pushed his way through the crowd. "Well well well, what have we here?"

"Captain I found this rat trying to steal your stew." The man let me go and backed away.

I was going to run, until I saw the man's hand had been replaced with a hook. Then I realized who's ship I got on.

"So why are you trying to steal my dinner?" He asked as if he actually cared about me.

"I haven't eaten in almost a week. The stew smelt good and I couldn't help myself from following the smell." I began to cry and my stomach couldn't have chosen a better time to rumble.
