*Neverland*
~Sam's pov~

I wasn't exactly sure why but Rumpelstiltskin wanted me to talk to him in private.

"Sam..." He spoke softly but didn't continue.

"Why are you dragging this out?" I was irritated.

Some reason just thinking about him pisses me off. I know he abandoned me as a kid but I think know there is more to it, but I dont remember what.

"Do you remember Bae?"

"Baelfire? Yea we bumped heads a lot while we were here together, but we were friends for a bit. Until he abandoned me here." I looked at the man and he was hurt. "He also mentioned his father turned into the dark one. At the time I didn't think it was you."

"He died. Saving me." He managed to speak out and for the first time I actually saw tears leak from his eyes.

"I heard, it's sad he's gone..." It was sad one of my earliest friends died; even though he abandoned me it still hurt.

"I don't understand why he would do something like that." Rumpel sat down on a fallen log.

"That's what you dont understand. Love makes you do weird things. Even for family." I wasn't about to sit next to him. I wasn't even sure why I was comforting him right now.

"You mean..."

"Bae loved you. Despite all the bad things you've done he knew there was good in there somewhere." He looked up at me like I was speaking a foreign language. "You just have to push your fear and anger out of the way."

"Would you have done what he did?" He asked as he stepped closer to me.

"Honestly Papa I would." I turned around and stepped away. "You better prove Bae was right. That you can show the world the good inside you. Or he would have died for nothing."

Bae was practically a big brother to me while I was in Neverland the first time he protected me in the beginning from the shadow.

"I swear on his grave you waste his sacrifice I'll make you wish you died more than you already do." I warned him.

"He told me to help people. No strings because it was the right thing to do... Then David got poisoned." He sounded awkward.

"Did you help him?" I asked since we were going to be leaving Neverland soon and I knew it would kill Snow if David dies.

"Yes. He's better."

"I'm sorry I couldn't have been there to help with Bae. We can give him a funeral when we get back." I sighed and started toward where the ship would be.

"That would be good." He spoke softly before disappearing.

Once I boarded the Jolly Roger. I ran my hand along the smooth wood railing.

"Let's go home." Some one said as I climbed up to the nest and took a sat down.

"Captain guyliner said not to bother you but I know you well enough to know you don't really want to be alone."
