Chapter 17: Holding hands

Friday morning 3rd week of school.

*Hiccup* 

I wake up to a cold morning, I had forgotten to close my window last night and a bunch of snow had entered my room... Just great.

I sigh and get up trudging to my window, I instantly flinch when my toes touch the fresh snow. This is going to make my room soaking wet, I sigh and despite the coldness under my feet I close my window. I only had my pajama bottom on, but no shirt. I shivered and quickly went to my personal bathroom locking it behind me. I got ready for school and in a matter of a few seconds I was about to head out, but I noticed Toothless wasn't following me. 

"Hey Toothless aren't you coming?" I ask heading to him, he was rested on my pillow. He poked his robotic head from underneath his wings. He shook his head and went back to his original position. I just shrug to myself and walk out of my room.

That dragon seriously had a mind of its own, it’s weird to think I'm his creator. As I go down to the lobby I see Jack waiting for me which was unusual. 

"Hey Jack?" I say waving at the white haired guy. "Sup." He says returning the wave. "Shang told me you were looking for me." Jack says as I stand in front of him. "Yeah three days ago!" I say looking at Jack weirdly. "Ah really? Sorry. I didn't really feel like going to school. But anyways tell me what did you wanted to say" Jack says.  I continue to eye him, "Yeah…I was just wondering if you told the school about Elsa's relationship with Pitch." I ask going straight to the point. "No, I wouldn't have a reason to." Jack says extremely passive.

I look at him not sure if I should even respond to him. 

"Well let's go to school." Jack says turning around and walking out the dorm. I walk after him but we head different ways when we reach the parking lot. 

I think I should tell Jack about my revelation of not liking Elsa too. But, Jack doesn't seem to be caring of Elsa right now, I mean he's been gone for three days. I run my fingers through my messy hair as I see Jack pass me on the street. Today will be a long day, I sigh to myself again.

When I reached school I saw Jack already with Merida and Rapunzel, it almost seemed as if he was flirting with the two. 

I get out of my car and go to the three, I was determined to tell Jack about my feelings. "Jack!" I scream as I begin waving my hand in the air. The three looked at me as I approached them. "I need to talk to you, alone." I say as I grab his shoulder. He looked at me as if I had done the rudest thing. "If you have something to say, you can say it in front of them." Jack says motioning to the two girls. 

I felt my cheeks warm up, I can’t talk about my feelings in front of the girls. "Jack, seriously." I say. "Just say what you need to." Jack says. I look around from Rapunzel to Jack and to Merida. "About me liking you know who." I mutter.

"Speak up Hiccup I can't hear you." Jack says almost mockingly. "Ugh never mind!" I say about to walk away. But Jack grabbed me making me face the three again. "Come on Hiccup were all friends." Jack says this time sounding sincere. I sigh and say. "About me liking Elsa I rea-" I was cut off by Jack saying. "Oh that? I don't care, it’s your feelings." rocking on the balls of his feet. "No Jack listen. I realized some-." I get cut off again, but, this time by Merida. "Guys I have to go early to class." Merida says pointing her thumb in the opposite direction, swiftly leaving to it. "Uh, I have to go to class early too." Rapunzel says as she runs to follow Merida.
