Chapter 25: Rumor

Monday; After school; 5th week of school

" I'm sorry... I just need time, I'm glad you trusted me with your true feelings. But, I don't know what I want... I'm sorry." I say slightly bowing out of habit.

I didn't look at them i wanted to...but all I heard from them was there feet shuffling and when I couldn't take the silence anymore  I looked up and saw Jack and Hiccup looking at me.

They were both silent for a while after, the first to speak though was Hiccup."Then...please, look at me properly." He says smiling sadly, causing my heart to squeeze.

Jack looked at Hiccup and then back at me stepping forward smiling."I'll be waiting for your reply." He says making my heart skip a beat.

I felt as all 3 of us were having a nice moment of acceptance... That's all I wanted... I don't want things to be chaotic...

"But, I do have a question." Jack says cocking his head and looking behind me.

"What's that" I ask looking puzzled. "Is.. Flynn your new body guard or something?" He asks pointing at the brunette who was right next to me. "Oh, ah... I feel like I just ruined a moment." Flynn says backing up.

I couldn't help but laugh at his reaction. I had also forgotten that Flynn, Merida, and Rapunzel were here. When I looked around they all seemed to smile.

"H-hey... Flynn I'm sorry... About today." Rapunzel says out of nowhere. Flynn seemed taken aback by Rapunzel's abrupt apology "N-no, I'm sorry... I was out of line and I deserved what happened." Flynn says.

Merida was the only one left to talk but she didn't say anything and she had put a considerable amount of distance between Hiccup and herself. Which I felt guilty for. "We'll get through this." I say sincerely" You're all strong." Flynn says almost in unison with my own words.

All of them looked at us bewildered as if finally noticing something.

"Now that i think about it...I didn't know you guys knew each other." Rapunzel says pointing at us. "Well, we kinda don't. Right, Elsa?" Flynn says elbowing my arm. "Yeah, we kind of just ran into each other." I say shrugging at him.

They all became silent as they all exchanged looks of confusion. "Are you guys friends?" Jack asks running his hand through his hair. This time we looked at each other face forward. "I guess..." I say not even sure myself. "I'm sorry to be so straight forward. But, are you another love rival?" Hiccup asks eyeing Flynn.

I found my cheeks warming up at Hiccups truly straightforward question.

"What? No, nononononono. No. Elsa's nice and pretty and all but, I do not and can not see her like that at all." Flynn says frantically waving his hands in front of himself.

"Y-yeah!" I said backing him up, uselessly.

"If that's the case you guys can be friends." They all say variations. I never knew I needed permission to be friends with someone...

"Right...anyways guys, didn't Elsa just got out of the hospital and doesn't she still need to rest." Flynn says nodding at me, I was glad he had made a great excuse. I nod back slowly and then look at my friends.

"I'll give you a ride." Hiccup says leisurely, I smiled shyly at him and was about to go with him when suddenly.

"No, I'll be taking her." Jack says grabbing my hand and smiling at me. "No, seriously I will." Hiccup says grabbing my other hand. They glared at each other as they reached a stalemate.
