Chapter 19: Night

Friday Evening 3rd week of school

What was i doing? Where am I?... All i can see is black, Pitch Black. Wait... there's someone calling me I'm sure.. I felt warm hands on me momentarily but they were quickly taken away, warm... "Jack! Jack!" I hear a girl cry out.

I know who's voice that is...it's Elsa's voice. I try to say her name but I can't.. Its so empty, where am I? I feel so numb, like I'm nothing... "Please Jack! WAKE! UP!" Elsa's voice blares out making me finally come to my senses. I quickly opened my eyes, breathing hard and heavy. I looked around nervously for any signs of danger.

Everything seemed completely normal, there was no Pitch, no black dust, just Elsa. "I'm so glad you're alright!" Elsa says grabbing my hand. I smiled just seeing her, but I felt cautious "Where's Pitch?" I ask trying to get up. "Where's Pitch?" Elsa asks looking down and then tilting her head.

"Elsa?" I ask reaching for her but she quickly and effectively swatted my hand away. "Hey Jack... What's your worst nightmare..." Elsa says looking up at me smiling too calmly. "Elsa?" I ask again beginning to get scared. Suddenly a noise was made at the other side of my room. "What was that?" I ask cautiously looking at Elsa. She looked down again, this time smiling evilly at the floor, her hair turned black and her eyes glowed yellow...

"Elsa!" I yell as I go to grab her, but she grabbed me first. "Is this your nightmare? How pathetic!" She cackles and her smile widens making her look psychotic.

I instantly close my eyes, this is just a nightmare! I yell to myself as I felt a horrible pain at my throat... It was a nightmare...

"Pitch." I gurgle as I look at the boogeyman. "And here I thought I could mess with you even more." Pitch says as he squeezes my neck with only one hand, I barley could breathe. Despite that I looked all around, finding no sign of Elsa. "Where is she Pitch?" I ask glaring at him despite my pain.

"Who ever do you mean?" Pitch says smiling contently. "Elsa! Where is she?!" I yell wincing. "Oh, you mean her?" Pitch says suddenly uncovering Elsa from shadows, I stared at her..she was laying on the floor just as she had fallen. Her hair was everywhere not in her tidy bun, and she looked pale again.

"What did you do to her?!" I scream fighting against his grasp. I could see Elsa flinch as I spoke. "Pitch! Let me go! Let HER go!" I scream again. This time Elsa really did wake up. She slowly looked up, but as she realized the situation she was in her eyes went from sleepy to simple terrified. Her eyes went directly to my neck and to Pitch's hand. My neck was black and his dust was slowly creeping to my chin and chest. Elsa tried to get up but Pitch pushed her back down using his foot, making her go down as she spat out in pain, how dare he!

"Oh you dont like this?" Pitch says continuing to push her down, Elsa continued to gasp out in pain every single time. Throughout it all she kept looking up at me.

"Stop!" I scream trying to get away from his grip. "You are so weak cant even get away from my grip. You are as weak as Elsa... But i must say my tattoo did wonders on her. It successfully took away all her energy. Poor thing." He says plastering his foot on her back. "Let her go Pitch!" I say pushing my force against him. "Or what?" Pitch says laughing at me, stepping on Elsa, but this time her head.

"I'm warning you!" I growl threatening him and wincing in pain. "Please Jack! Just leave...this isn't your fight." Elsa says forced to look down at the floor as she spoke. "Yes it is! I need to protect you... I just need to!" I yell grabbing my staff key chain with my free hands. She forced her head up and looked at me with her giant blue eyes.

"Don't make me use this!" I say gesturing to the key chain."Please Jack, don't make me laugh, you are going to use that?" Pitch says laughing. "Don't laugh yet Pitch." I wince as black dust reached one eye. I turn my key chain to it's full length... I close my eyes.. "If it's to protect her i'll do anything."
