James Potter/ Summer

My last name was Dumbledore, I was the adopted daughter of Albus Dumbledore. I was a Gryffindor and knew the Marauders but we weren't close. Remus was the one I talked to most, for school work mostly.

That was until 7th year when me and James Potter were both honored with the head girl and boy badge. Though I didn't think James would take it, till he apparated to my cottage and began to sort out the plan for prefects.

"James? Why the hell are you in my house?" I asked confused as to why the boy was standing before me.

"Well Sirius and Remus at won their way." At that moment the two boys fell on top of each other. "Again why the hell are you in my house?"

"We're Head boy and girl, I thought we would go over the plan for the prefects this year?" I nodded smacking Sirius who tried to grab my food.

"Hey! That's not nice?!" He whined.

"Being in someone else house isn't nice?" The boys looked around the cottage like they've never seen a house before.

"Where's your parents?" I laughed at their question, thinking they were joking.

"Well you know Dumbledore is always busy at the castle?" They looked at me confused. "I'm his adopted daughter, I live here by myself, he stays at the castle handling business. He was my godfather but he adopted me."

"YN Dumbledore?" I nodded, "Come on are we gonna go over the plan?"

"Isn't it scary being alone?" Remus asked me sitting in an empty chair across from me.

"Sometimes, But you get used to it." I shrugged softly.

James smiled at me, "We'll stay with you for the rest of the holiday! Then you won't be alone?!"

"No!" They looked at me offended, "Well four boys, 1 Girl?"

"Yeah, it's will be perfect. Plus we're all friends here, Love." Sirius winked.

"We only ever talked when you wanted me to get Lilly out of her room, or classes."

"That's why we're best friends." Sirius and James cheered, making me and Remus facepalm.

That's how it started, the bond had begun to grow stronger the more they were all together. And a romance began to grow through the girl and messy haired boy.

Finally the time had come to go to Hogwarts for our 7th year. I was scared about having to be pushed out of school into adulthood. Though I had money, I knew that it wasn't what I wanted to live of my family money.

I walked beside the boys, many of the students giving us weird looks seeing as we weren't close. We came to a stop in front of the train, "I guess I should find a compartment, have any of you seen Emm-."

James cut me off as he and the boys had similar looks, "Aren't you coming to our compartment?"

"Isn't it full with all of you, and aren't  the girls going to be joining you?"

Sirius pulled me with them as they put the bags with the others and dragged me with them, "You are our new Marauder that means your with us, plus the girls can get their own compartment."

We entered the compartment, they all went to their usual seats. James pulled me to sit beside him, "We only hav about two hours before we head to the Prefects box." I nodded putting my head on James shoulder.

"Peter, Sirius you welcome to come with us, we'll just have you two behind us." The two boys nodded in agreement.

James laid his head on top of mine as we both got comfortable. Both me and James ignored the other three boys snickers. The compartment door slide open, my favorite Hufflepuff.

"YN?! There you are, do you mind if I join you lot?" I smiled at Emma as Remus helped out her bag overhead.
She sat beside Remus and looked at me confused as she eyed James.

"So when did this happen?"

Peter smiled Emma before answering her, "Well Jame and YN got the Heads of Prefects, so we went to YNs house and found her alone. So we decided to stay for about a month. And we're all best friends now. Your our friend since your YNs friend."

Emma shook her head, "YN told me that, I meant those two!" She pointed to me and James.

"What?" We asked in unison.

Remus snorted, "You two act like a couple is all she meant. Look at yourselves!, for Godric's sake!"

I pulled my head from James I looked at our linked hands. When did that happen? Shaking my head.
"Well we're not together. Especially since everyone knows that James Potter is in love with Lilly Evans."

James gave me a smile, "Actually I don't like Lilly, anymore I mean... she said no many times and I moved on."

"To who?" Sirius raised his eyebrows looking at me.

Before he could answer Lilly opened the door, she looked at me and Emma curiously. "Um..., James, Remus we have Prefects, come on."

I stood up as well as the others, Lilly looked at me weirdly, "Why are you all coming? Head Boy and Girl can bring people, it's only Head Boy."

I raised my hand, "Actually." I pointed to the Head Girl badge, Lilly's eyes widened.

"So this is why I didn't get Head Girl, that's not fair your dad is Dumbledore!" She whined as we walked down the train.

"Don't be silly, McGonagall picks Head Boy and Girl." Emma defended sensing Lilly's anger to me.

We walked into the room, the other Prefects waiting for us. Emma was a Prefect for Hufflepuff, Sirius and Peter sat behind us. Me and James went to the front table.

James took my hand as we stood, most of the Prefects saw. Including a fuming Lilly, who glared at me. I looked to James a blush formed on my face as I began.

"Here are all your schedules, and yes you are with the a member of a different house. If you have a problem with your partner of the area please tell me or James." 

"Remember that you can only take points from your own house, so send them to their head of house or Prefects of their house." James finished the direction.

I nodded, "Any questions?"

A Prefect from Ravenclaw raised her hand, "So... when did that happen?" She pointed to our linked hands.

I blushed as James pulled me closer to him, "Summer."
