i was frozen in my seat.
"hails?" loren shook me. "hailey?" mom said, worried shown on her face.
"hailey?" arnold, aka my 'dad' spoke.
"you actually named her that?" arnold smiled. and my mom and him looked at each other, as mom nods happily.
arnold then planted a kiss on mom's head.
a smile crept on my face.
"im so happy you actually kept your promise" arnold then chuckled.
"promise? what promise?" my brows furrowed.
my mom and arnold looked at me.
"well..." my mom trailed off.
"you see... when i met your dad when i was only 16, and he was only 22 years old. we both knew it was illegal and all... but he has always wanted a baby girl. and ive always wanted a baby boy.. i mean- i love you though" she spoke which made us 4 laugh.
"and um.. he has always wanted a baby girl named hailey. so i promised him if we had a baby girl, id named it hailey" she say.
"and then once youre pregnant, he left you.. hmm okay" i spoke, ruining the moment.
"not bc he wanted to. we both knew it was illegal. and... his father is a successful business man which means your father was born in a wealthy family.. and once his cruel father knows that i was pregnant with you in my belly, his father forced him to leave me" she explained.
"cruel?" i say.
"my dad, also known as your grandfather, has always wanted me to do the best. not my best but the very best. he'd call me a mistake or a disgrace. and.. your beautiful mther here, has always helped me with my insecurities and suicidal thoughts" arnold explained.
"so.. how did you know mom was here?" i asked arnold.
"we had problems in the company. and so we needed a lawyer. and to my luck, your mom is a lawyer and lets just say, we decided to start over" he spoke.
"our love hasnt changed a bit... and i thought that you must know ive been seeing your father for months now" mom says which made me zoned out.
"HUHUHUHU THIS IS SO CUTEEEEE" loren squeled which made me look at her in shock with my eyes widen.
"HOW DID YALL MEET, MRS MORRIS?? WOAH I NEEDA KNOW EVERYTHINGGG" loren spoke.
my mom's last name is morris. and my mom once told me my father's last name is hilton...
i giggled.
"loren?" dad spoke.
"shes laurena beech's daughter" mom says. (a/n: idk whats loren's parents' names soo yea, lets just go along with the name hehe)
"oh" dad chuckled, "so thats how youve got your 'sunshines and rainbows' personality"
"runs in the family" loren replied.
"anyways, um.. pumpkin, youre okay with me and your dad right?" mom says.
"of course, theres no way id wanna be the second person to overcome your relationship.. although i need time to process everything" i spoke which made arnold and mom nod.
