Ananya's pov
Mumbai, city of dreams, city of hopes I also came here with such hopes and dreams. No matter what I have to change those dreams and hopes into reality.
I am Ananya Rustgi; full name Mrs Ananya Goutham Rustgi and Goutham Rustgi is my husband, to whom I got married for five long years.
I got married when I was 20. It wasn't forced but I wanted to get married and get settled fast. I never ever regretted that decision even though I was never happy with my marriage life.
Why I came to Mumbai and how I ended up with all these mess it is a long story. There is no one I can blame for my condition because I myself bought it on me.
"What about her friend's house?" I heard Dhruv talking to someone through Bluetooth headset.
"Check everywhere thoroughly don't leave a single point "he ordered and cut the call.
"Who was it?" I asked
"I had sent my personal manager to search Amaya and others. "He replied while concentrating on driving .
"Then what did he say?" I asked with curiosity.
"Nothing new, he couldn't find them. He already checked airport, railway stations and bus stand but no information. I don't know where they went leaving me alone in this burning pit "he said and sighed.
He concentrated back to driving and I began to stare at Mumbai's busy road through the side glass window.
Coming to Mumbai and open a new business venture of my own was always a dream of mine but I never thought that I will be here to save my husband's life and to erase my guilt.
.............
Amaya, Ananya these two beautiful names we got from our superintendent. From what they said Amaya is only five minutes elder to me. Our real mother passed away soon after giving birth to us and no one showed at hospital to take our responsibility. Even her body was taken to some medical school instead of cremating it. From that day we both become a part of orphanage in Jaipur.
We grew up together after that one day all of sudden a couple came to our orphanage wishing to adopt a child. They showed interest in adopting me.
We came to this world together but god wanted us live separately. Amaya is my life. In this world she is the only one I had as mine. Even though she is my elder sister I was the one who always acted like an elder sister and that's why when Mathur couples came for adoption I gave up that chance to Amaya. I thought I can live under any circumstances but Amaya has to live peacefully with all happiness in her life.
Years passed sometimes I used to write letters for her because that's the only way I can contact her. I don't know her number or anything but address I took it from superintendent register. She never wrote me back or visited me after adoption. Our relationship gone worse once we ended up in a huge fight with her for not considering me when she got succeeded in her life. I lashed at her saying that I sacrificed my happiness for her.
I was also at fault I always thought that I did some kind of huge sacrifice for her by letting Amaya to go with Mathur couples. I always wanted her to be grateful towards me. Our fight ended up like she shouted at me saying that she will definitely pay me back.
That time I cried a lot but when an urgent situation came she is the only one who came first into my mind and I ran to Mumbai with my husband.
Rustgi family my in-laws is a typical Indian family who follows all kinds of tradition and customs even in this century. A daughter in law's place is always inside the kitchen. She is like a slave to her husband, from morning till night it's all about house works, kitchen cores, laundry and even cattle caring like the list goes.
