62 - Caught the doppelganger

Writer's pov

" You are not sleeping " Ranveer came to Ananya's side and asked why she isn't sleeping.

" I am not sleepy. Now a days it's very hard to sleep" Ananya replied

" Ranveer why uncle got sudden cardiac arrest ? Did he suffered like this before? Ananya asked with concern filled voice.

" Nope,  this is the first time and that's what made us more panic. All of sudden a situation like this. Election is getting near, other side of management will definitely pull the string with this incident. " Ranveer sighed heavily.

" How ? " Ananya looked at him and asked

" Now it's easy for them to claim that Dev and Ranveer is incapable of holding such a position without dad. People are looking for an oppertunity to pull others down " Ranveer scoffed and replied

" Dev don't want to nominate his name because he is saying you don't want him to see him holding a management position. My side is getting weaker ....."

" Why Amaya ? Why you came back and changed my life like this ? Things were very normal between us till our engagement night. Even if it was hatred we both were comfortable in our place. Now everything turned upside down and I bam feeling guilty thinking that I became a third wheel in my brother's life. It's true Dev and I bicker each other, we taunt each other but he is my little brother. He grew up together " Ranveer become bit emotional as well as some kind of anger rushes inside him.

" Either you make him understand to nominate his name for election or ....... " He didn't complete what he was going to say .

" Actually you are equally responsible for this situation. Not equally.... You are the sole reason for this whole situation Amaya. If you were so in love with Dev then why you showed this good side to me ? Amaya that I know is a genuine one. Friendship or enemity she doesn't have two faces. Just one side and she treats everyone like that. Which isn't fake ?  Now you tell which is real ? "

" We kissed , I forcefully kissed you but you were weak that time which means my touch affected you. You cried in front of me which means you are comfortable around me. You saw me in a situation where you shouldn't have still we resolved it without any awkwardness. Then what is the real issue between you and I ? Why so suddenly you wakes up from sleep and said I love Dev ? Huh ... ? I need a solid reply for that otherwise I am not gonna leave you " Ranveer grabbed her hand tightly and asked.

" Ranveer........ What are you doing ? " Ananya tried to realise her hand from his grip.

" See even now you are getting affected by me. I can hear your heart beat  from this distance. Tell me what you said yesterday was all lie right ? There is something else you are hiding from me and Dev was only an excuse ? " Ranveer asked

" What nonsense ? Leave me first. Who are you to predict what others think and what's in their mind " Ananya pushed him back and lashed at him

" I started treating patients when you were just a school student. More over I deal with patients problems with brain not with heart. So it's easy for me to analyse especially those with very weak mind " Ranveer trapped Ananya and pushed towards the wall.

" I need an answer Amaya Mathur ..."

" I found you are not a reliable partner. I was securing my future that's all. " Ananya replied to Ranveer right looking into eyes which means she wasn't lying. She indeed said the truth. No girl want to live with a man who can't give her a secure life.

" What you mean ? " He looked at her with a frowned face.

" Pooja.... A thorn that always between us. Yesterday you went to her house soon after my confession. You both are still hanging at end of a rope of your marriage with a thin string between you which is your unborn baby. She is claiming that Amaya ki........  did that to her child but I am damn sure that's not true but I don't have anything to prove that. With what security I hold your hand ? Tomorrow if Pooja  come again with another emotional blackmail you might leave me then what ? " Each question was like spitting fire balls from Ananya's mouth.
