59 - Surprise

Party was going it's in full swing.
Mr and Mrs Hooda talked with guests and important deligates who attended the party. Not even for once Dev got a chance to talk with Ananya because he was always surrounded by his old classmates , colleagues etc and most importantly Ranveer never leaves her side.

Situation was same for Ranveer too. Even though she is beside him he couldn't get a chance to talk. When he takes her alone soon someone will come and Ranveer will start talking with them. In that time gap Ananya will scoot from his side back to her friends.

" Annu....  " Ananya was standing beside Pranav who was drinking some soft drinks. He was noticing her for a long time and wanted to talk something important. So finally he called her and decided to talk.

" This is serious girl. Ranveer and Dev both are crossing their limits. If you won't stop now this is gonna be another headache for us " Pranav who was watching all drama adviced Annu.

" I don't know what to do. I am trying my best to avoid them ? " Ananya replied.

" Are you sure ? " Pranav scoffed and looked at Ananya with a serious look.

" Pranav...." Pranav didn't let Ananya to talk.

" I can see you are avoiding Dev as much you can but what about Ranveer ? Wind between you and Ranveer .... It's slowly changing with or without your knowledge Annu. "

" Pranav......" Ananya wanted to say something but she was struck with words which means there was some truth in what Pranav said.

"I wouldn't have warned you if we weren't doing this drama here. This is dangerous Annu... Moreover they are influential people, they are rich and powerful. We are not match for them. You have already witnessed what happened to our Vidya after marrying that jerk Ranvijay. Our Vidya is  strong enough that she put up with everything but you can't. We know you from childhood. He will break you into pieces once he know the truth. So think before act " Pranav patted on her shoulder and walked from there.

Ananya was dead silent after that. She looked at Vidya from a distance who was actually standing at a corner with a longing eyes at Ranvijay who was enjoying the party with everything he wants.

Then her eyes caught on Ranveer who was busy talking with all VIP guests and his close friends. That reality hits Ananya very badly. Pranav was right she isn't a match for him at any angle. Even the dress she was wearing are taken from someone's else money so as the identity.

" Hey "

Ananya flinched when Dev snapped his finger from her back because she was immersed in some deep thoughts.

" Hai..." Ananya smiled at him gently

" Where were you ? I was calling you for a long time from there. There are lots of our common friends who wanted to talk with you.  Come on..." He took Ananya and went to meet their friends.

" This is totally a surprise for us Amaya. Not even in my dreams I thought that we will get a chance to see you in this avatar. No one can say it's our old Amaya. " One of her friend commented. They all talked and she felt like an outcast there.

After few minutes Ranveer and some of his friends joined with them. Again their topic was also how Amaya changed like this. Their professional talks, friend circle talks, High profile life talk other than a smile there wasn't anything she could give as reply. But one and only thing which kept her there and made her feel little comfortable was Ranveer's hand on her. Not even for once he left her hand from his. She noticed some of friends eyes fell on that scene and somewhere she liked that.
