18 - Sweet Revenge

I said that I will update this story on Monday but due to some reasons I am updating living hell and anything for you today. I will be out of town for one week and updating will be difficult. That's the reason. So hope you enjoy the chapters.

Ranveer's POV

What I am seeing right now? The arrogant ice princess Amaya Mathur apologized to someone who insulted her and that's in front of so many people ?

Amaya that I remember would have slapped that lady by this time for spoiling her branded dress. But this one is different she apologized and don't even raise her voice at that lady. Instead she was solving the problem. Since I was in between my rounds I just walked ahead with my team so I don't know what happened there after that.

I was all disturbed during my rounds thinking about Amaya. Her face wasn't going from my mind. Those eyes , apologizing face, how she stood there ashamed with her head down when that lady insulted her everything was flashing inside my mind.

I went to visit my final patient Goutham. His condition was same as he got admitted here. Visitors are not allowed for such special cases since they need very keen and special care. A slight negligence can cause infection which will be dangerous for his life. Still if their gaurdian want to visit them we allowed for few minutes.

" His vitals ? " While checking on him I asked to my juniors

" Maintaining the same but below the normal rate " one junior replied looking at the file he was holding

" Without looking at that you can't say ? " I gave him a death glare and asked. He is only a junior and if he won't memorise his patients condition then how he can treat them in future

" Sorry sir " he quickly apologized

" Following the same medicines ? " I asked

" Yes. " One replied

" I am cutting down two and three instead add this and raise the dosage another 0.5 mg. " I said while writing down the medicines on notepad.

" We will try this for another one week after that we will observe him by changing positions. " I looked at my team and said.

When we all came out I saw Amaya running towards there all panicked. She stopped like putting a sudden break when she saw me with my whole team

" What are you doing here ? " I asked with a frowned face. Amaya licked her lips to give them some hydration and took heavy breaths to catch up her breath.

" You were running ? " I asked and she shook her head as no which is a huge lie.

" Then tell me what are you doing here ? " I asked again this time in a rude tone

" I was just passing by this way " she somehow said that one sentence. I looked at my team members like what the heck is this girl saying. Manvi rubbed her nose with index finger to control her laugh

" This is not a park where you can stroll around. This is a special care unit....."

" She came with me ..... " Suddenly I heard a sound from her back and it was Vidya, Goutham's wife.

" I asked her to accompany me. I don't wanted to be alone so she accompanied me " Vidya said in a sad voice but something was so weird about them.

When I explained Vidya about her husband's current condition and new treatment method we are going to start at next week. My eyes were on Amaya who stood in between Vidya and me. She was curiously listening to everything that I said to Vidya. I felt like Vidya wasn't that much interested to hear what I am saying but Amaya was. When I said that next week is very crucial for him Amaya's face become so pale and she quickly put her right hand on her chest like to make her heart ease.
Vidya just stood there and agreed to whatever I said. She doesn't even wanted to know what kind of treatment I was going to do or what is going to happen with her husband's health. Whereas Amaya was asking many things like his medicine, what will I do if this treatment doesn't show any result and all.
