Improvised Couples Therapy

Macy's POV

"Hey, its Ken, can we meet at Starbucks, the one near your place, around 1? I'll be waiting." I received a voicemail from Ken.

Brave of him to even call me. 

I'm really disappointed with him. Its not the Ken I know. Something must be wrong, that's why that happened.

Since its almost 1 anyway, I fixed myself. I change my pajamas to leggings and some random shirt I found in my closet. 

I wore my slippers and walked outside my apartment.

Since Starbucks was just near I decided to walk.

Making the trip there longer cause I walked slowly, and I wanted to make Ken wait. I'm thinking of what to do with him.

When I arrived there I saw Ken, sitting inside, drinking coffee. 

As soon as I walked in, I gave him a look.

"You have guts Ken." 

"I thought you'd bring your baseball bat with you." He joked.

"Want me to come back and bring it?" I said. "Can we just please sit down."

"Coffee?" He asked.

"You ain't bribing me with coffee you douche. Talk." 

"I'm sorry."

"Sorry doesn't even cover it. First of all, why would you call her a useless bitch, second why the hell did you hit her."

"I was drunk. I can explain." 

"Explain then." 

"Again, I was drunk, the reason I was drunk is because, I got frustated that Andy has been being so unproductive. I mean, Macy, we both know she's not giving effort to looking for a new job. I love her so much, I'm helping her out but she just won't do it. I didn't mean to say that, I know that I hurt her. I've already apologized. I just want to see her get out the house and do something that can help us both. Like having a job. I've been paying all bills, and all the things she wants to have that I can't even buy the things I want. I'm really sorry."

"Okay, now that you've explained. I see your point, its still not acceptable the you hit her and called her a useless bitch but I'll let you go this time. Don't do that again or I swear I'm gonna hit you with my baseball bat.

"She's here." Ken said as she waved at Andy.

"So............" Andy said when she sat down.

"Welcome to couples therapy little shits." I said. "Let's start by both of you saying what do you think about your partner at the moment, forgot all the positive things, go with the negatives."

Of course they both started rambling negative things about each other. It was fun but at the same time dreadful to watch. 

It was a good thing they remembered that we were in public or they would've shouted at each others faces.

"Are you guys done?" I asked as silence took over the atmosphere.

"Yes" They said together.

"Now, you both know what your partner thinks about you. Somehow I know you agree with what he/she said, you just won't admit it. Andy, Ken is trying to help you, but you won't give effort. He wants you to be happy babe, he doesn't want to end your relationship, he just wants you to have a job and take responsibility, its been months since you got fired, don't you think you've had enough time for a break and start working again. It will help the two of you. And Ken.... you seriously need to watch your words, don't be too direct most especially if you know that the person will be hurt. Use your words. Whether you're drunk or not, I don't give a shit. Both of you needs to get yourself together and start fresh. Got it?" I said.

Wise words from Macy Williams, everybody.

They nodded yes and then started flirting with each other.

My third-wheel life won't seriously end. Everywhere I go its like I'm always third-wheeling. 

It was an awkward situation. Just a few minutes ago they were talking shit about each other and now they're flirting like nothing happened.

I had no choice and just left the seat and buy myself some food.

I got a Iced Caffe Latte and ham & cheese croissant.

When I turned back I saw someone.

"Hey." Nash said.

"Nash? What are you doing here? I mean, I'm not the owner of Starbucks and I banned you here forever but what are you doing here?" What did I just say.

"To buy food like what you just did." He giggled. "And its near the apartment so yeah." 

Awkward silence took over. He looked at me with his breath-taking eyes. Please stop looking at me. Damn. Why do you have to be so handsome. I hate you wait no, I don't. Ugh what is happening to me.

I snapped back to reality. I was so awkward. 

"I'll just go over there." I smiled.

Ken and Andy didn't made the situation better cause they invited Nash over to our seat, and ate my croissant. Thanks a lot guys.

"Want some of mine?" Nash offered.

"I'm good. I'll just buy again later when I leave."

It was more awkward because Nash and I were sitting beside each other and then the lovebirds started flirting again. When will they stop, jeez.

Thankfully they stopped a few minutes later.

"Welcome to Couples Therapy" Andy said. Oh no. This is not good.

The look on my face and Nash's were like What?

"Let's about your break-up." I'm so screwed.

"This is gonna be short but very true. Nash, why cheat bro, Macy is a great girl and you're dumb enough to let her go, She cried for weeks, months, maybe even years because of you. You broke her heart, question is, will you be the one who's gonna fix it? Macy, you really should've given him more time, even if you were really busy, at least say Hi or How are you or I love you. You feel me girl? You should've talked to him and sorted things out. Question for you is, have you moved on? And the general question is, do you still like each other but you just won't tell because you're afraid." Andy and Ken smiled. 

As much as it is hard to admit, what Andy said was kinda true and I can see that Nash agrees because of the look in his face.

Both of us were really quiet after that.

To escape the awkward situation, I said goodbye quickly.

Before exiting Starbucks I heard Ken say something.

"Im gonna help you guys out and start by saying that she still has feelings for you."
