"Darling, are you sure you're okay? You don't have to come with me if you're not feeling well," Tom Holland, your boyfriend of four years, said. You sighed.
"Tom, I'm fine. It's just a bit of nausea, I have that all of the time," You said with a smile.
You were four months pregnant and you and Tom were about to do an interview on a live program. No one knew about your pregnancy yet because you wanted to keep it to yourselves for as long as possible without the media going crazy about it.
You were a musical actress that had performed on both West End and Broadway. You were widely known in the theatre world. You knew Tom from when you were in Billy Elliot together. You had lost contact after Tom had stopped, but you had met again four years ago when he had come to one of your performances in New York. You had found him afterwards after everyone had left and you were happy he stuck around.
He had asked you out for coffee and quickly after that, you were dating. Four months ago, you had found out you were pregnant. Yes, the timing wasn't great since Tom was in the middle of the Avengers: Infinity War craziness and filming Spider-Man: Far From Home. He was away a lot but you tried to travel with him for as much as you possibly could. Soon, you wouldn't be able to fly anymore due to the baby inside of you.
For today, Tom was doing a live panel and they had also invited you. You loved doing interviews and panels, but lately, you had been feeling not so great.
Your stylist had chosen a loose dress for you and you would be sitting in a chair with armrests so that the audience wouldn't notice your swollen abdomen.
"Two minutes, Tom!" Someone of the crew called and he sent them a thumbs-up. "Okay, if you don't feel good, you can tell me. I'll make something up," He said.
"Yeah, of course." You nodded with a smile. He held out his hand to you and you gladly took it in yours as he led you to the steps onto the stage. The host was hyping up the audience and you waited for the signal to come up.
"Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Tom Holland and Y/N L/N!" Celine, the host, exclaimed and Tom took you onto the stage. You walked on his left side with the audience on the right so they didn't have a clear view of you yet. You greeted Celine and she motioned for the two of you to sit down.
"It's so good to see you! How have you been?" She asked.
"Really good. We both have been really busy with our new projects," Tom answered, patting your thigh.
"Yeah, we heard. Y/N, you're going to be the lead in Waitress the Musical, right?" Celine turned to you.
"Yes, I am. I'm so excited, I love that musical so much," You smiled happily.
"It is an amazing musical and we're so excited to see you in it." Celine flipped over her card. "I see here you'll be giving us a little sneak peek of your favourite song that you will be singing in the musical."
"In fact, I will," You grinned and an applause sounded.
"And Tom, you're working hard as Spider-Man. Is there anything you can tell us about that?" Celine turned to your boyfriend.
"As you all might know, I'm in the new Avengers movie, Infinity War, you can go see it April 27. It's crazy to be a part of that and I'm so honoured, it's a lot of hard work though." Applause sounded through the room and you smiled.
"The two of you are trending on media right now and everyone is wondering, how do you make it work? Tom, you work all over the world and are on press tours a lot, and Y/N, you have to stay in New York for the musical. Are there any tips you'd like to give to people who struggle with long distance relationships?" Celine asked.
"We just make sure we see each other as much as we can. If there is any chance I can visit her in New York, I take it. When I have time off, I stay with her at our apartment in New York. Yeah, sometimes it sucks but I can't imagine my life without her anymore so we have to make it work." Tom smiled lovingly at you and the audience 'awww-ed'. He grinned boyishly before quickly pecking your lips.
Celine continued asking Tom about Infinity War and while he was occupied with not spoiling anything, you were suppressing a wave of nausea that surged through your body. You swallowed thickly and exhaled through your mouth. Tom stopped mid-sentence and turned to you. He placed down the microphone and placed a hand on your back. "Are you okay, love?" He asked softly. You closed your eyes and shook your head.
"Do you need some water, Y/N?" Celine asked.
"No, it's fi-" You started to say, but opening your mouth was the exact opposite of what you should have done. A flood of throw up exited your throat and ended up right in Tom's lap. A deafening silence fell as Tom stared down at your puke in shock before he stood up. He took your shoulders and dragged you off the stage.
"Tom, I'm so sorry," You rambled while fighting back the tears in your eyes.
"Love, it's not your fault," He assured you as you entered the dressing room. You went straight to the bathroom to clean your face and flush your mouth. On the good side, the nausea was mostly gone now.
Tom stripped out of his jeans and tossed them in the sink before taking a clean pair. "Tom, I don't think we can hide it any longer," You mumbled, wrapping your arms around yourself.
He came up to you and rubbed your upper arms. "You and me both, darling. But we'll only do it if you're one hundred per cent okay with it. We're gonna get a lot of media attention if we tell everyone about it. I don't want to cause you any extra stress," He said.
You smiled and nodded. "Yeah, I sure. I'm sick of hiding it. I wanna show the world that I'm having your kid," You grinned, wrapping our arms around his neck. He rubbed your back with his thumb. "I love you."
"I love you too, babe," He said, pressing a kiss to your forehead.
You gasped. "I know the perfect way to tell them!"

"Who'll be reckless, just enough," You sang, standing on the stage. "Who'll get hurt, but who learns how to toughen up. When she's bruised and gets used by a man who can't love. And then she'll get stuck."
"And be scared of the life that's inside her," you continued, placing a hand on your stomach and giving it a rub. You looked at the audience and saw several jaws dropped. You smiled and nodded. "Growing stronger each day 'til it finally reminds her. To fight just a little, to bring back the fire in her eyes. That's been gone, but used to be mine. Used to be mine."
The applause you received when you stepped off the stage was deafening and as you walked over to Tom, you couldn't help but tear up a little.
He looked at you with a proud smile and as you stood next to him, he kissed your cheek before placing a hand on your baby bump. "I'm so proud of you," He smiled.
"Thank you, Tom. For everything. But me throwing up on you was your own fault," You chimed.
"How so?" He frowned.
"You knocked me up," You smirked before walking away from him to thank the audience.
"You said it was mutual!"
