(this is an AU, please don't take it too seriously!)"Y/N, we need to get going or you'll be late for the charity concert," Melissa, your assistant, called from the living room of your apartment.
"Yeah, yeah, give me a second!" you replied, bouncing around on one foot as you tried to put a shoe on the other. Eventually, you resorted to sitting down on your bed and putting it on like a normal human. You exited your bedroom and walked up to your assistant.
"Oh, I forgot to mention. You're doing some press afterwards to raise extra money," Melissa said.
"What kind of press?" you asked, taking the water bottle she held out to you and taking a sip.
"Just a few short interviews and some games, nothing fancy," she said, scrolling through her tablet. You noticed her hesitance immediately.
"You're not telling me something," you said. "Liss?"
"A few other people might be attending as well," she said slowly.
"Okay, we already knew that. What's the problem with that?"
She pursed her lips into a thin line.
"Melissa!"
"Alright, alright. Tom will be there too," she confessed.
You stared at her for a few seconds. "What?!"
"It's not my fault. Jack thought it would be good for publicity, and Tom offered to donate to the charity," she rambled quickly.
"Jack's behind this?!" you asked. "Of course he is."
"Don't blame this on him, I went along with it," she said.
"Are you two trying to get fired? My manager and my assistant teaming up to have me and my arch-nemesis in one room doing games and interviews?" you exasperatedly asked.
"I wouldn't call him your arch-nemesis, but Y/N, think of all the money we could raise! Isn't that the whole point of this event?"
You groaned loudly, running your hands through your hair before remembering your stylist had curled it. "It's too late to cancel, I assume?"
"Cancel him or the event?"
"Either."
"Yes."
"Ugh." You plopped down on your couch. "You know he and I don't get along. Why would you do this?"
"Y/N, you're a famous singer, he's a famous actor. That's like bringing two of the biggest worlds to one place to raise money for an amazing cause. That's what this is all about, you have to remember that!"
"I know, I know." You sighed, sitting up. "Alright, let's go then."

"Mr Holland will be with you shortly," Tom's assistant informed you as you sat waiting in the room where the interviews were going to take place.
You checked your watch. "Twenty minutes late. Of course," you mumbled under your breath.
"Y/N," Jack warned you softly from his corner of the room behind the camera. You rolled your eyes.
The door opened and in came Tom with his assistant. "Y/N!" he grinned.
"Hello, Tom." You smiled a fake smile. "How are you?"
"I'm well. How are you?" he asked, sitting down in the seat next to yours.
"I'm good, thank you," you said, brushing a strand of hair behind your ear.
"Hey, guys. Sorry for taking so long, traffic was horrible." The interviewer entered the room, balancing a stack of papers on his arm. He sat down in the seat across from yours and Tom's.
"It's totally fine. No worries," you said.
"Yeah, no worries," Tom replied, copying your accent. You raised a brow at him but decided not to say anything of it.
"My name is Sander and I work for Entertainment Today," the interviewer said, oblivious to Tom's comment.
"Nice to meet you, Sander," you said, reaching out to shake his hand. Tom followed your example.
"Good to meet you, man," he said.
"So, to start off this interview, I'd like to ask Y/N why you set up this event. It's been all over the news and people from every corner of the world are watching the live stream," Sander said.
"Well, I think it is our duty as humans to stand up for those who need it most and the charity I chose for this event really helps with that. 100 per cent of their profits go to those in need and they fully operate with the help of volunteers and ambassadors, so I'm very proud to be one of them and help out wherever I can," you told him.
"That is amazing and so inspiring. And what about you, Tom? Why did you decide to join this incredible event?" Sander asked Tom.
"Well," Tom said, rubbing his hands together and shifting in his seat. "Y/N and I have known each other for years and this charity, as mentioned before, is incredible. They do a lot of good things for people whose lives have been messed up by something beyond their control and I believe that this organisation needs all the help they can get."
"You said you two know each other. In what way?" Sander asked and you mentally groan, not in the mood to explain your very complicated relationship with the British actor.
"Well," you started, glancing at Tom for a second before turning back to Sander. "We worked together on a movie a few years ago. I sang the songs for the soundtrack and he played the lead role, so we did a lot of press together where we got to know each other," you told him as professionally as possible. And you weren't lying either.
"Sounds like you had a good time. For my final question, I would love to hear what you have in store for us in the future. Are you planning on doing more events like this one?" Sander asked.
"I definitely do. I don't know if it'll be in the same place and with the same people, but I absolutely see myself doing this again in the future," you said.
"And what about you, Tom?" Sander questioned.
"Well, I was greatly inspired by this interview so I think my team and I will definitely be looking into this kind of events to see if we can do this in the future," he answered. "Maybe we could make a competition out of it to see who can raise the most money." He directed the latter at you, eyeing you challengingly.
"You would love that, wouldn't you, Holland?" you asked.
"Bring it on, L/N."
