"I just can't wait for you to get here. I miss you," You pouted softly.

"I miss you too, darling. Just a couple more hours," Tom replied through the phone.

"How long before you're boarding?" You asked.

"Not long, I think," He said.

"And then you have a flight of three hours," You said, running a hand over your swollen stomach.

You were a little under 9 months pregnant and you had been in Venice for the past four months, working on the newest Spider-Man movie. You had worked with Marvel for six years now, starting off as an intern, but now you were one of the head writers.

You had met Tom on the set of Captain America: Civil War, but you hadn't talked as much as you wanted. Somehow, he had gotten a hold of your number. You started texting each other and met up whenever you could. Not long after, you started dating and soon, you announced your relationship to the public. Most celebrities were hesitant to be open about who they were dating, but you and Tom both wanted to let the world know that you were a couple.

Sometime after the Civil War premiere, you were selected as the head writer of Spider-Man: Homecoming and you were beyond excited to start working with Tom as a lead actor as opposed to a side role.

Ever since you and Tom started dating, you knew that you were always meant to be together and that you wanted to start a family. You thought trying to have a child would take a while, but before you knew it, you were pregnant. The timing wasn't great because you both were so busy working. You knew before you started working on the script that Peter Parker and his friends were going to be travelling to Europe, so as soon as you figured out the cities they were going to visit, you travelled to one of those cities since you couldn't be on a plane in your last trimester.

You had been in Venice for four months now and Tom was still filming in London. He was coming to Venice today after you had been apart for a long time. The rest of the cast had arrived yesterday but Tom had to stay a bit longer to finish up some of his solo scenes.

"My flight is boarding. I'll text you when I land," Tom said.

"Okay, safe flight," You answered.

"Thank you. I love you, darling. I can't wait to see you and the baby," He said and you could hear the smile in his voice.

"I love you too. We've missed you," You smiled, patting your belly.

He chuckled. "See you in a few hours."

"Bye," You said before you ended the call.

"Hey, girl," Zendaya said as she plopped down next to you, holding a plate of Chinese takeout.

"Hey," You said, stuffing your phone in your pocket.

"He's on his way?" She asked.

"Yeah, he just got on his plane. He'll be here in a couple hours," You answered, stretching out your back. Being pregnant was hard, especially on your spine. "You know, I'm really glad that you're here. Four months without friends and family is hard."

"I can imagine," She chuckled. "Your baby daddy wouldn't stop talking about you and the baby."

You giggled. "Yeah, well, this kid wouldn't stop kicking my organs any time I had Tom on the phone." You rubbed your stomach.

"That's adorable," She nodded, stuffing a bite of food in her mouth.

"Hey, Y/N," You heard behind you and you turned around in your seat, seeing Jacob Batalon standing in a few feet behind you.

"Hey, Jacob," You smiled, patting the spot beside you.

"How are you? Tom texted that he's on his way," He said.

"Yeah, he is. He should be here in about thr-" In the midst of your sentence, you felt a plop and suddenly, a flush of warm liquid washed down your legs.

"Y/N?" Zendaya asked.

"I think my water just broke," You mumbled and she nearly dropped her plate.

"Your- What? But you're not due yet, are you?" She asked, putting her food aside.

"Not yet, no. But some babies are earlier than others, my doctor already warned me since this is my first," You said, rising to your feet.

"I'll get someone," Jacob said before rushing off.

You blew out a long breath. "This is fine. I know what to do," You nodded, slowly sitting down again. "My doctor said that the first contractions should feel like just some pressure." The next second, you tightly gripped Zendaya's arm. "Oh, Jesus, that's not just pressure. Auch," You groaned as a surge of pain flashed through your abdomen.

"I should call Tom," she said.

"He won't answer. He's on the plane," You commented.

"Then I'll call the airline company. I'll figure something out." She said, taking out her phone. She dialled a number and put the phone to her ear while her other hand held yours. "Yes, hi. I was wondering if I could contact a certain airplane because I have a pregnant girl here and the father of her baby is in that plane. We don't have a way to contact him but she's in labour so she really wants to talk to him," She said. A moment of silence followed as she listened to the response of the person on the other side of the line. "I understand but it's an emergency." More silence that was interrupted by a groan that came from you. Zendaya tightly held your hand and you used it to its full extent. She gave them Tom's flight information and waited for the response. "That's great, thank you so much. I'll wait."

She turned to you. "They're going to contact the plane to see if you can talk to Tom."

"That's great, Z. Thanks," You smiled.

Jacob came rushing back with the paramedic who was always present on set in case anything went wrong. Behind Jacob, Tony Revolori and Angourie Rice followed. "Guys," You sighed with a giggle.

"Jacob told everyone. Are you okay?" Angourie asked, sitting down next to you.

"I'm fine. I just want to talk to Tom," You answered.

Matthew, the paramedic, went to work checking your vitals. "When your contractions are about 30 to 60 seconds apart, we're taking you to a hospital," He told you.

"But what if Tom's not here yet? I don't want to do this without him." Just the thought of having your child without Tom by your side was enough to bring you to tears.

"I'm sorry, Y/N. We have no choice," Matthew said, patting your knee.

"Y/N," Zendaya said, holding out her phone to you.

"Tom?" You asked softly, holding the phone to your ear.

"Hi, darling," You heard Tom's relieved voice.

"It's so good to hear from you. You have to get here now," You said.

"I'll be there as soon as I can. Only a few more hours," He answered.

"I'm scared, Tom," You said, unable to keep your bottom lip from trembling.

"It's going to be just fine, baby. You have a group of amazing people surrounding you and I'm sure the hospital we picked is great. You'll get through this, love," He said.

You sighed. "Okay. I'll see you soon," You said, wiping the tears from under your eyes.

"I'll see you soon, darling. I love you so much."

"I love you too."
