Requested by angel-At-heart! I kinda had to tweak the plot a bit to make it longer. It's still kinda short but I hope you like it anyway❤

Even though Tom came home at one in the morning, he felt far from tired. His day had been filled with press for his newest movie and on top of that, he and his costars had gone out for drinks afterwards.

He plopped down on the couch of his apartment and started up his laptop, figuring he could answer some emails while he was still awake. Tessa joined him on the couch and rested her head on his leg. Tom mindlessly scratched her behind her ear and a cup of tea accompanied him as he gradually grew more and more tired.

By the time it was 2 am and Tessa had fallen asleep, Tom decided he himself needed to get to bed. He shut off his laptop and changed out of his jeans and into something more comfortable as he plopped down on his bed, scrolling mindlessly through social media for another thirty minutes.

Just as he was about to fall asleep, a loud car alarm started blaring outside. Tom groaned to himself, rolling over and covering his ears with his pillow, but the sound still came through.

He sat up and dragged himself out of bed and to the window. He glanced outside and frowned as he saw a figure pulling at his car door. He quickly pulled a hoodie over his head and sprinted outside. "Hey!" he shouted and you jumped around. "Y/N, is that you? What are you doing?"

"Trying to get in my car!" you replied.

"That's my car," Tom said.

"What? No, it isn't."

"Yes, it is," he replied, clicking his car keys to unlock it. As expected, the headlights flashed shortly.

"Oh," you muttered. "Then where's my car?"

"How would I know?" he asked.

"I don't know," you huffed, sinking down to the asphalt and leaning your back against the car.

"You okay?" Tom asked, placing his hands on his hips while he looked down at you.

"I'm an idiot," you pouted. Tom sighed before sitting down next to you.

"Wanna talk about it?" he asked.

You let out a huff. "I just got home from visiting my family for Easter but my mum and I got in a fight about something really stupid but we didn't talk it out so now I feel guilty."

"What was the fight about?" Tom asked, pulling up his legs to his chest.

"The turkey."

"The turkey?"

"The turkey."

"Care to explain?"

"Mum wanted a turkey for Easter so I thought she'd buy it, but she got mad at me when I showed up without a turkey. She claimed I promised I bring one but I never did, so then she started raging about how I never do anything and that I keep messing up. So I got mad too and didn't talk at all during dinner," you said.

"Wow, that's... That's something," Tom agreed. "The big question is, did you eventually get a turkey?"

"Yeah, my dad went out to buy one," you replied. "But I feel bad that we didn't talk it out before I left."

"You could call her," he suggested.

You released a breath out of your nose. "Yeah, that's probably a good idea. You don't have to stay out here. I'm fine."

"Nah, it's okay. I'm not tired anymore." He chuckled.

You smiled. "Thank you."

"For what?"

"Calming me down. I'm a mess." You sighed, running a hand through your hair.

"You're welcome. And in your defence, you're not a mess," he said. "I do have one more question, though. Why were you trying to break into your own car?"

"I wasn't trying to break into my own car. I wanted to grab my bag out of my car because I'm hopelessly paranoid that it'll get stolen if I leave it in my car a whole night," you explained.

"Ah, I see." Tom nodded with amusement in his eyes.

"Hey, don't make fun of me," you pouted, playfully pushing his arm.

"I'm not," he said, struggling to contain his laughter. "It's cute."

"Thanks...?" you said with a grin.

"You're very welcome. Now, I think it's time for us to go to bed because it's almost two-thirty in the morning," he said, pushing himself up and holding out a hand to you. "After getting your bag, of course."

You giggled and took his hand. He heaved you off the ground and you walked over to your car, taking out your bag and instinctively checked if your belongings were still there. You suppressed a yawn and as if on cue, Tom yawned too. You shared a laugh as you turned to him. "No, really, Tom, thank you for being there." You said, wrapping your arms around him. He tensed for a second before hugging you back.

"You're welcome. Now get to bed," he said, pulling back.

"Yeah, I will," you said. "G'night, Tom."

"Goodnight, Y/N." He sent you another smile before heading back inside. He locked the door behind him and smiled to himself.

In your home, you did the exact same thing.
