He'd never thought that he'd be so happy to see his bionic arm back in its place or having his enhanced powers but he was delighted. Bucky forgot about how it was to be like a normal human being, to feel pain or not healing fast as usual. He hated it.

"What's on your mind, Bucky?"  Laurel inquired as she sat next to him placing olive and mushroom pizzas on the living room table.

"Nothing, just..." Bucky trailed off trying to formulate words of what he went through being in his love's shoes.  "When I was you and had your memories, I got a clear picture of why you became the Black Canary. The pain that you endured, when you lost Tommy, Sara and your Dad. I'm surprised that you didn't go crazy."

"I can ask the same of you." Laurel replied, having to be the White Wolf and the Winter Soldier, all at once. "How is it possible that you didn't put a bullet in you after all this time? The things that Waller made you do... I don't know "

Bucky sighed thinking about it. That was a really good question, why didn't he? "I guess. I still have a reason to live. You."

Letting a smile of affection creep on her lips, Laurel went to kiss him. "You were also my reason to live too."

"Well, there was one thing I didn't miss. Your terrible cooking skills." Bucky admitted.

"I knew you would say that."
