BROKEN SOUL!

Care

It was afternoon . And Ruhi was sleeping. She was under the effect of the medicines. This whole time Vikrant didn't leave her side . He was there throughout to check on her and to help her to get anything she need. So he took his laptop and sat on the sofa to complete some work while she is sleeping.

He looked at her she was sleeping peacefully , snoring softly . Her nose was red because of the cold. He checked her temperature it was still 103°. Vikrant kept a damp cloth on her forehead . After some time she opened her eyes and looked at Vikrant. She knew he was there the whole time with her.

Her hazel eyes met his dark orbs.

"Are you okay ? How are you feeling?"
Are you hungry" Vikrant asked concerned.

"I am fine. My head hurts " Ruhi said . Her voice didn't sound healthy at all .

"I will bring something to eat . You need to take your afternoon medicines" Vikrant said and ran out of the room

RUHI'S POV

Why is he caring all of a sudden ? And what is he doing at home at this time . Didn't he go to office? Why? Now he will be angry at me for not completing my work . So stupid of me!! Why do I have to fall sick .

She tried to get up from the bed but her whole body was paining .

"What do you think you are doing?" Came a voice . Ruhi looked up and saw vikrant raising his eyebrows at her !!

He was holding a plate of food for her

"Lay down , you still have high fever"he said .

"I am sorry ..you don't have to do this . I could have managed" Ruhi said in her hoarse voice , laying down on the bed .

"Sure, you can manage everything. I can see that " Vikrant said sarcastically.

He kept the plate on front of her .

"Eat something you have to have your medicines."

She took the plate and started eating slowly. She ate few morsels and asked ...

"Did you eat anything?" Ruhi asked

"Yes ..I will have my lunch after you ...so finish up quickly" he replied .

"I don't want to have anymore" Ruhi said after having few bites .

"Complete the whole thing , Ruhi . You are not well plus you are very weak" he told her ..plus the doctor also said that she has to have proper food .

"No!!" She whined like a baby .

"Give it to me.." he took the plate from her and said .."Now open your mouth " she was looking at the other side , he made her to face him and said ..

"You are weak Ruhi ...why didn't you have your proper meal in the past weeks?" .He said calmly. She just looked at him with her hazel eyes .

He fed her few more morsels and gave her the medicines and made her lay down . "Have some rest..you still have high fever"

She closed her eyes and slept.

VIKRANT'S POV

Why do I feel this strong urge to protect her . What are you Ruhi ? Do you really married me for money ? I don't care about that right now ..

"Ruhi it's time to say goodbye beta . It's time for me to go . Be a good girl okay." Nani told to little Ruhi .

"Nani , where are you going ?" She asked .

"I am going to meet your mummy- papa "

"When will you come ?"

" Never. But I will always see you from up there . Promise to be good to everyone"

"Please don't go"

"I have to go beta. "

Little Ruhi started to cry .

"Don't go Nani ." But she vanished

"Nani !!!""

Vikrant was engrossed in his work when he saw Ruhi  squirming in her sleep . It was like she was like she was a bad dream . Her eyebrows were scrunched up . She was not looking okay at all ..

"N..Nani .." she cried softly ..."don't go..don't go please.."

Vikrant ran towards her and gave her a gentle shake ..."Ruhi ..it's a bad dream ...get up.. everything is okay " he wanted her to get up from her bad dream and see that everything is okay.

She still cried asking for her nani..
"Nani...!! Don't go..!! She murmured..

"Ruhi .. everything is okay ..Nani is okay ..get up" Vikrant said ..shaking her .

She shot her eyes open . Her eyes full of tears. She looked up and saw Vikrant looking at her with concerned eyes.

"I want to go to Nani . Please let me go to her !!" she pleaded .

"Ruhi it was  a bad dream and you  are not well . you are not going anywhere . I will call her , you can talk" Vikrant explained .

"No , no I want to see my Nani . Let me go .." she tried to get up from bed.

"Ruhi ..no .." he scolded her.  She flinched at his voice . He saw her expressions and his voice softened. He held her hands and said ,

"I will take you to her once you are fine . Okay . It was a bad dream . Forget it . And try to take some rest . You need it . We will go to meet Nani tomorrow . Okay ?" He told her in a calm voice . She was already scared . So he needed to calm her down . Ruhi looked at him without blinking trying to register his voice in her mind .

"Close your eyes and sleep. We will go to  meet Nani tomorrow." He told her and kept his hands on her forehead . She nodded. Soon she drifted off to sleep .

VIKRANT'S POV

I think she is missing her Nani . I will take her to her home tomorrow to meet her . Right now I can't let her go . She is so sick.
