Broken

Chapter 7

They'd been waiting at the institute for over two hours for Clary to come back. They called, texted and fire messaged her but nothing. They even tried tracking her.

"Where could she be at this hour in the night?" Jace was pacing the library. Izzy was on one of the couches with Simon, Alec and Magnus were talking on the upper level of the library and the doors were wide open. They were worried because she hadn't called to tell them were she was or if she was okay.

"Call her again maybe this time she'll answer" Alec yelled from above. He had some books pressed against his hip so they wouldn't fall. Magnus was on the other side looking for more books. Magnus had put up wards so they couldn't track her, he had no idea were she was once she had disappeared from his place when Alec showed up.

"Izzy call her. Again." Jace said firmly. He was worried and pissed because she was ignoring their calls and texts. Isabelle sighed and took out her phone, she dialed yet again Clary's number.

"Hello?" Clary answered on the second ring. She was a little too perky.

"Clary?, WERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN? SCRATCH THAT. WERE THE HELL ARE YOU?" Izzy yelled into the phone. Jace turned his head instantly at that and ran to were Isabelle was standing.

"I'm on my way to the Institute. Why?" Clary was still too perky. Izzy didn't understand why she was so perky.

Izzy had started pacing back and forth Jace behind her while she yelled at Clary. Jace heard none of the conversation.

Izzy scoffed."Why?-" She laughed sarcastically. "Did you really just ask me why?!.We have been looking for you for over 5 bloody hours!We called you and texted you and nothing!"

"Ohh yeah! I'm so sorry. My phone broke and I had to go to the store and buy a new one. I'm so sorry. Tell Jace I'm on my way. I'm at the front door right now." Izzy looked at the door and sighed. She made her way out of the library Jace at her tail.

"Fine I'll go open it up. But Jace is really angry." Izzy hung up and turned to Jace who had a frown on his face.

"What did she tell you?" He asked very straight forward and to the point. She sighed and gestured towards the door.

"She's at the front door." She said pointing at the door. Jace nodded an pushed past her to the front door. He grabbed the door knob and pulled on the door. On the other side was a beautiful redheaded girl. His redheaded girl. She lifted her head and their eyes locked together. She took a deep breath and shuddered. Clary was cold. She wrapped her harms around her self and ripped her emerald green eyes from his golden ones.

"Aren't you going to let me in? Its freezing out here" She shivered on the last two words. He opened more the door and she quickly walked past him. He closed the door behind him as he followed Clary to the library.

"IZZY! IZZY?" Clary yelled. In a few minutes footsteps sounded throw the hallway. Izzy came crashing down on Clary. Izzy was giving Clary a bear hug. She was laughing and giggling. Izzy pulled away with a big smile on her face. Izzy looked behind Clary at Jace how had a sly smile on his face. Izzy turned back to Clary and sighed.

"Are you hungry we ordered from Taki's?" Izzy asked furrowing her brows at Clary. She shook her head.

"No I already ate, but still thanks." Clary was full.

Jonathan or Jonah, his new name, took her to a diner. They had burgers and fries while they chatted.

Izzy sighed but nodded. She turned on her heel, with a frown on her face, and walked away. Clary was once again left alone with Jace. She turned around to see a slightly frowning, arms crossed over his chest, Jace. She sighed and walked to Jace and gave him a hug.
