"Hey! You there? Open up" I yelled pounding my fist on the door.

The door flew open. There he was standing on the door frame worry clear in his eyes as he scanned every inch of my body to see if I was hurt.

Seeing the tears rolling down my eyes he stepped aside and let me pass in. I went to the living room and sat on the couch face in mi hands.

"What's wrong? Did something happen? Are you hurt? Is the baby okay?" He started firing questions all at once, concern sounding clear in his voice. I shook my head and lifted my head to face him. He sat down next to me and looked straight into my eyes.

"It's not me. It's not my baby. It's Robert and Maxwell. Their dead." I said while trying to hold my sobs. He pulled me close to him and hugged me. I didn't pull away I just sat there sobbing in my big brothers arms.

"What happened? How did you find out?" He asked. I took a deep breath.

"She told us just a few minutes ago. There had been an attack in Idris yesterday. The Inquisitors manor house had been burned to the ground. Robert nor Maxwell were found." I said pulling away from Jonah's embrace. I took a deep breath and looked over to him.

"I'm sorry I came here. It's just I couldn't take it anymore. Izzy was screaming and sobbing, Alec was acting all crazy, Jace just fell to the floor and started crying. He forgot about everything. He just zoned out." I said rubbing my little baby bump. I looked at Jonah who was looking at my belly.

"It's nothing. You now I'm here for you. You can count on me and come here any time you want." He said while looking at my face. I smiled a weak sad smile. I cleared my throat and stood up. I looked back at Jonah that had stood up behind me and waved goodbye.

"Okay. I'm gonna go now before everyone gets worried. See you tomorrow. Remember were going baby shopping." I said with a sad smile on my face. He grinned and nodded.

When I arrived at the Institute 30 minutes later. It was all quiet and dark. I decided to go up to the green house and observe the beautiful flowers.

I made my way silently to the elevator and up the stairs to the green house. I took my steele and put on a soundless rune on. I walked in silence through the flowers and sat on a nearby bench. I closed my eyes and tears bean to fall from my eyes as I remembered all the pain I had gone through, all the pain I had witnessed in a matter of minutes, hours even.

"What am I going to do? I'm only 17. I don't have a job, I don't have money. How am I going to raise a child?" I asked sobbing quietly into my hands.

In that moment I heard footsteps coming towards me. I remembered I had put daggers in my boots and took them out slowly standing up. I slowly turned and prepared to throw the daggers. I pulled my arms back and stopped abruptly as I saw who it was. I gasped and let the dagger fall from my hand. I fell to the floor on my knees and started to sob.

"It's okay I won't tell your secret Clary. It's okay." Said Evan while pulling me to his chest and comforting me. I just nodded and stayed there in Evans muscular arms.

"What am I gonna do if it's not Jaces? He's gonna be so mad so disappointed and so hurt." I said pulling away and standing up slowly. Evan stood up next to me and cupped my cheek.

"Don't worry I'll help you." He said smiling sheepishly at me. I frowned.

"How? You don't even know me. I don't even know you." I said dryly. He chuckled and pulled away.

"You're right. I don't know you. You don't know me. So I guess you'll just have to trust me." He said and walked away leaving me dumb founded.
