Chapter 5

• An hour later •

"Jace she said she'd be home soon. Let the girl have some space. Jace Herondale Do Not Dare Call Magnus Just So You Can Track Clary.!" Izzy yelled into the phone and hung up. She wanted to give Clary her space, but Jace being all protective wanted to find her.

Simon was giving her a very confused look. She shook her head and kept walking. Simon ran a little to catch up to her. He taped her shoulder and she slowly turned around a frown on her face. Simon didn't know that much about what was going on with Clary and Jace, only what Izzy had informed him.

"Were going to Magnus's house to see if Clary's there." Izzy wasn't happy to break their date, but she needed to calm Jace down. She wanted to give Clary her space but Jace couldn't give her her space.

"What's wrong? Is she okay?" Simon was a bit worried. Clary is his best friend in the hole world.

"She's fine... I think. But Jace says she's in danger because he can't track her with runes." Izzy was heading to Simon's motorcycle. Simon hopped on and started the engine. They rode down the street of to Magnus's house.

Clary was sleeping in one of the rooms in Magnus's house. She had picked the one she had been in the night she escaped to save Jace from Sebastian. Magnus thought that after all that had happened she might be tired that if she wanted to she could sleep in one of the spare rooms he had. He said that if she was hungry that he could order pizza, but she refused she said that if she was hungry she could just go to Taki's. She had finally fallen asleep after half an hour of crying.

Magnus sat in one of the chairs in his room thinking about what Clary had told him. She thought the child was Sebastian's and not Jace's. She might be right, but Clary had to wait until the child was born to see who the father of the child really was. Magnus was brought out of his thoughts when he heard the front door open. He got up and walked to the living room were he meet those blue eyes that drove him crazy.

"Hey! What are you doing here?" Magnus was happy to see him. He was smiling. He loved Alec with all his heart and he always will.

"Well, incase you forgot we had a date at Taki's, but guess what?, you -"Alec sad pointing his finger at Magnus with a frown on his face. "didn't show up. I got worried and texted and called, but you didn't answer or text back. So I decided to come here to see if you were okay." Alec had a frown on his face and his beautiful blue eyes were full of anger and sadness. Magnus took a deep breath and sat down on the couch, he pated the spot next to him so that Alec could sit down. Alec sat down next to him and stared into his lovers eyes.

Magnus looked back into Alec's eyes. He grabbed the front of Alec's shirt and kissed him very passionately. Alec didn't pull away instead he deepened the kiss. Magnus gasped and Alec took advantage. They pulled away just long enough to look at each others eyes and both were smiling like crazy.

"Now does that look like I forgot about our date?" Alec shook his head, his smile fading a little. He raised his head and looked straight into Magnus's eyes.

"Then why didn't you come?" Alec was now dead serious.

"Because something came up unexpectedly and I didn't have time to call or text. I didn't even know you called or texted." Magnus looked at the hallway when he said 'something came up unexpectedly'. Alec followed his gaze and then looked back at Magnus his face confused.

"What do you mean? Are you hiding someone?" Alec was standing up on his way to the spare rooms. Magnus took hold of his wrist and held him back. Alec frowned.

"No, I'm not hiding anything.Why would I hide someone?" Magnus was lying straight to Alec's face. He hated lying to Alec, but it was Clary in there. He hoped that Clary was awake and that she was long gone by now.

"I'm still going to check the rooms. I know you're lying Magnus. You're bot a very good liar." Magnus was now a bit nervous. Clary didn't want to go home now but I guess she has to now that Alec's here.

"Fine by me." Magnus waved a hand towards the hallway. Alec turned on his heel and walked to the first door in the hallway. He took the door knob and opened the door.

Clary heard voice from the other side of the door. Someone was inside the house. It was Alec. He was yelling at Magnus for missing their date today. Oh my god. I made him miss their date. Oh my god. She thought while she putt her boots on. She took her stele out, she was about to look through the wall when Alec and Magnus's footsteps. She took a step back. They were right there on the other side of the door. She walked to the nearest wall stele in hand and drew the portal rune just as the knob turned. Clary thought of the street right outside Magnus's apartment and ran as fast as she could and jumped inside the portal just as the door flew wide open.

When Alec opened the door there was now one there. He turned to Magnus who had a smirk on his face and his arms crossed over his chest. Alec rolled his eyes and stalked passed him to the other rooms. They were all empty. Alec was relieved and angry. They walked in silence to the living room. Alec slumped down on one of the couches and put his head in his hands.

"I'm so sorry Magnus." He was shaking his head. He hated distrusting Magnus.

"For what?" Magnus knew what he was apologizing for, but he wanted to hear it from his own lips.

"For... You know, distrusting you" He whispered. Magnus laughed and sat down next to him. He took his hands and put them in his lap. Alec looked at his face and smiled. He looked at Magnus's cat eyes and put his lips on Magnus's. Magnus smiled against Alec's lips and laughed. Alec pulled away a confused yet funny look on his face.

"You know what, let's go on our date" and with that Magnus and Alec headed to Magnus's room.

Clary hit the cement on a crouch. She stared around and she was were she wanted to be only that people were staring at her funny. Oh right she did fall on the middle of the street from nowhere. She got up from the floor and grabbed her purse stuffing her stele in there. She walked down the street in complete silence. She was walking down the street when suddenly she felt strong, cold hands wrap around her waist. She was hauled into an alley by the cold arms that were know wrapped around her. She spin around to face her attacker. She was so shocked she froze in place, she didn't talk nor did she fight him. She just looked into his eyes. That was all it took for her to know she was okay, that she or her baby were okay.
