Luke's pov

We were on stage with this huge crowd screaming our names. Cal was looking at me, completely speachless. I stared at all these fans, some of them crying because I sent them a smile. I felt my cheeks blushing under all this attention, and love.

Ash started to play on his drum and I knew it was my time to sing. I openned my mouth and my eyes stopped on someone in the crowd. I could recognize her between a million of brunettes because her eyes and smile were unique. I felt her gaze on me and I knew that, for her, I had to sing with all my heart. Without stopping our eye contact, the lyrics came out of my mouth. The girls screamed louder and Micheal played his part. It was crazy and so unreal.

At the middle of the song, while everything was just perfect, I saw her leave. All I could do was beg her to stay.

"Sophie!" I yelled in the microphone.

The music stopped and the crowd went silent. The boys had a confuse expression on their face and I was feeling sick. Why would she leave? I needed her with me. I couldn't sing if I knew she wasn't in the public.

Suddenly, her voice came out of nowhere. I looked everywhere, but I couldn't see her.

"Luke, wake up! Wake up!"

Where was she!?

My eyes snapped open when I felt her little hand on my shoulder. Sophie was there, with her brown hair and green eyes, starring at me. I was in the car. Calum's car.

"I think you were having a nightmare !" She said with worry in her eyes.

I shook my head, still a little bit in shock. This dream felt so real, but it wasn't. We didn't had fans like that and we never played in that kind of arena. Not yet.

Calum was driving, with Ashton on his side. I was sitting by the window, with Sophie next to me. Micheal was listenning to his Ipod, his headphones on, next to her. We were going to an appointment with a Record label, Sony ATV Music Publishing. We were all really nervous about it, because it was maybe our only chance.

Let me explain who we are.

First, there is Calum Hood and Micheal Clifford. I met them in High school, Norwest Christian College and with them, we started a music group. We did many covers on youtube but something was missing. That is when Ashton Irwin came into our life. We did auditions to find a drummer and almost refused him, because he didn't liked the Fifa. It would've been a huge mistake. We created, the four of us together, the music group 5 Seconds of Summer.

Finally, the girl I was dreaming about, was called Sophie Anderson. She was my mother's bestfriend's daughter and we've known eachothers since the day we saw the world. We came out almost at the same time, but I was slower than her. She was not part of the band, because she was really a bad singer. But, she was always around, giving us her advices about the lyrics we wrote and to keep us down to earth. Also, if you didn't noticed yet, I kind of have a crush on her. Since we are ten.

I will always remember the day Sophie told me she was dating Cody Tyler. I was happy for her, because she looked deeply in love with him. I couldn't deny that he was good looking, since all the girls from our school were in love with him. But, I was feeling something inside of me everytime they were kissing in front of me.

It's called jealousy.

I couldn't help myself from being protective over her. Especially since the day that Cody left her by text. Who would do that to a girl like her? A jerk.

Sophie was destroyed and guess who was the shoulder on which she cried for several hours? On the best friend's one.

Me.

Sophie never saw me more then a friend or a brother. And she was part of our gang, since the boys loved her as much as I did, but without the feelings. She was one of us. That's the reason why we are called 5 Seconds of summer. We are only four musicians, but she was the fifth second.

We finally arrived, a little bit sooner then we were suppose to, so we waited in a waiting room. We didn't talked, until a young women came to tell us that they were waiting for us in the room 4. I looked at my friends.

"This is it boys. Make it or break it!" They gave me a smile and started to walk toward the door, where, behind, maybe a future was waiting for us.

"It will be fine ! Love you !" Sophie whispered in my ear.

She sent me one of her signature smirk and sat down on one of the chairs where we were waiting. I held my breath before entering a room where my career was at stake.

The wait was terribly long. It felt like hours that I was sitting here, while it only made twenty five minutes. I was praying with all my heart that this would work. My boys deserved it so much. They worked their ass off to create this band, recording covers in Luke's basement and starting writing lyrics.

Before losing all my strength to nail biting, I pulled out my cell and looked at pictures of the guys. I laughed, seeing one where Luke and Calum were asleep in my living room while we listened a bad movie to relax before we left for this appointment. Micheal was fascinated by the movie while Ashton was on twitter and me, starring at my bestfriend.

I know Luke since we are born, both in the same hospital room. We grew up together and I knew, since a long time, that he would succeed. He had to with this incredible voice! I couldn't believe that nobody would signed them. They were a pop rock band with too much talent for being unknown. With their covers on Youtube, I knew that they would make it in the music industry. They were different.

My thoughts were interrupted by the office door, which opened. I jumped to my feet as soon as I saw them come out. Initially their faces were neutral and I could not guess what was the response of the publisher. Then I felt my feet lift off the ground, as they took me in their arms, one by one and speaking the same time.

"We did it Soph!"

"We signed a contract!"

"I can't believe it, it's so unreal!"

"I am so proud of us!"

They made a circle and did a big group hug. Then, the realisation hit me with tears in my eyes. They did it! My boys were going to record an album!

After signing our names on the contract, we were all looking at each others, holding the joy that was boiling inside. We left the room and the first thing I saw, were Sophie's eyes. She had this confuse expresion on her face, trying to determinate if we made it or not. Ashton was the first one to hold her in his arms. We all hugged and laughed. It was crazy. Totally unreal, and a dream come true.

"We did it Soph!" Ash told her.

"We signed a contract!" Micheal said, more to himself since he was still realizing it.

"I can't believe it, it is so unreal!" Calum exclaimed while Sophie started to cry.

"I am so proud of us!" I said.

We kept silence for a while, just starring at the floor. Then, Sophie brang us in a big group hug and we were laughing again.

"Let's go celebrate!" Sophie shouted.

Ash and Cal screamed their approbation and went outside, followed by Mickey.

"I knew it!" Sophie said to me, holding my hand, before running towards the boys.

Then, there was me, standing in the waiting room of our Record label. I chuckled and looked at the walls. There were pictures of all the singers who came here before us. I am pretty sure they were as excited and scared as I was at that moment. Scared, yes, because of the big changes this carrer would bring us.

"Luke, Sophie yelled from outside. You're coming?"

I checked around me one last time, and went outside, where my four bestfriends were waiting for me. That was the beginning of us.
