Chapter 18.

Micheal's pov

"If you leave this house, it will be the last time you ever talk to me again. Don't come back telling me you are sorry." Sophie said with a ferm tone, that I never heard her use before. She looked really destroyed, yet broken.

"Remember that I didn't walked away the first time. You did."

With that, Luke put his hand on the small of Gabriella's back to direct her towards the door.

What?

What happenned was just unreal. We had to deal with a confused Luke for a year because he didn't knew how to tell Sophie about his feelings and now, he just ran away?

I felt a huge wave of disappointment come into me, just like Ashton and Calum as I starred at them, speachless. Everybody in the room were shocked, not knowing what to say or do. Sophie's back was facing us, as she was froze into place, still starring at the door, which had just closed in her face.

I remembered the look on her face when Luke admitted his love for her on a talk-show. I saw in her eyes the happiness of being loved, but it quickly had been hidden by fear. We didn't really talked since, she was too confused and we all had to let her breath and start her own life. But, I knew she had the same feelings for him. It was so obvious in the way they acted together.

At the moment, when we saw Sophie rush upstairs,  it took me a lot of control to not go find Luke and tell him what I really think of him now. He acted like a jerk, a side of his personality that we didn't knew existed.

We gave Sophie a moment with herself, before we went upstairs, chasing after her. I was so much worried. Sophie was like the twin I always needed. She was a part of me since I knew her, but there was no love. I was just not the bestfriend she needed, because she already had Luke.

I knocked and told her who was behind the door. Calum and Ashton stood up there, their eyebrows twisted with worry.

Soph opened the door slowly so we could come in. The first thing I saw was her dress on the floor and the heels at different place, like if she just had threw them. When I saw her face, she looked like hell. Her make up had run down her face but there was no sign of tears and her little body was now covered with only her underwears. What was wrong with her?

"Soph?" I cautionly asked her. She looked up at me, her green eyes hidden under a river of tears. Then, she broke down in my arms.

Sophie's pov

It was the worst holiday season of my entire life. I had been destroyed by the boy I loved, with our family as a public. In addition to a broken heart I felt bad for ruining their Christmas Eve.

Liz kept telling me that it was nothing, everybody were going through that kind of situation once in their life. As they all tried to comfort me, I just blacked out in my mind. I was still physically with them, but I couldn't see anything else then him leaving with Gabriella, the stranger.

While all the mothers looked concerned about me, I stood up and rushed to my bedroom. I locked myself in, and it was like the beginning of a storm. My head was spining, which made me stumble because of my high heeled shoes. After several attempts, I managed to remove them. I walked all over the place, my head in my hands, my breathing became faster. I even took off my dress, because I felt like if it kept me from breathing easily. I was only on my underwears, freezing but I didn't care.

I stopped when I heard a knock at my door.

"Soph, it's us!" I recognized the familiar voice of Micheal and let them in.

I noticed the look on their face when they saw mine. It was like if they didn't knew me, because I had never been feeling like this. They looked at my body but quickly back to my face, when they noticed I was half naked.

"Soph?" Micheal tried to make me speak, since I haven't said a word after he passed the door.

Then, as l looked into my friends eyes,I literaly broke down in Micheal's arms. My knees couldn't support me anymore, as I almost fell on the ground. The boys all freaked out, thinking I was loosing concious, which I wished I did.
