Sophie's pov

I couldn't stay there.

I made my way to the hotel where we were staying and called my mother, completely broken and in tears. She didn't asked me why I was crying, but she replaced my plane for that night, instead of in a month.

In my hotel room, I didn't waist my time. I took all my clothes and threw them in my suitcases, before heading back to the reception where I asked them to call me a taxi.

Everything happened so fast. Between Luke's announcment and me waiting for my plane,  two hours had passed.

I wasn't ready for him to tell me the truth, even if I knew it inside of me. And me? How did I felt toward him?

Ugh... Luke was my bestfriend and would always be. But.. more then friends?

I was lost in my thoughts while waiting for my plane. The tears had stopped, hopefully. But even if I wasn't crying anymore, my eyes were all big and red, puffy and burning. And, my heart was in a hundred of tiny little pieces. If I felt like that, I couldn't believe how he was feeling...

Luke's pov

I couldn't stay there.

I needed air, since I just humiliated myself infront of a million of people. My phone was buzzing non-stop, while I was just running. Calum tried to stopped me, but I just had to leave.

Sophie wasn't sharing the same feelings.

The reality hit me and the pain raised in my veins. It was destroying me from the inside, as the tears rolled down my cheeks. I didn't bother to wipe them off, since I was too much exausted about the whole thing.

Sophie had left the set, crying. Why did I had the stupid idea to tell her on live tv!? Maybe that was why she just ran away. She was scared...

Stop hoping, she doesn't love you! A voice in my head told me.

I heard footsteps behind me, and quickly recognized my three friends. I stood up and faced them. When they saw me, they stopped and stared at me, worry being the main expression on their faces.

"Damn, Luke! What was that?" Calum asked me.

I couldn't help myself from feeling ashamed.

"Listen, bro. We don't judge you for what you did. Personally, I think you were really courageous. I would never have the guts to do what you just did." Ash tried to comfort me.

I felt Michael's arms wrapped around my shoulders and I smiled at him.

"Do you know where is she?" I asked with a weak voice.

They all shook their head no.

"Sophie is the kind of girl to hide from reality. If she left the studio, then she is probably back at the hotel." Mikey said.

Suddenly, a wave of adrenaline raised in me.

"You know what? I will go and find her back!" I shouted, feeling brave. "But, what if she just don't want to talk to me?" The adrenaline falling back.

"Luke, you have to explain yourself to her. So, what are we waiting for? Let's run after her!" Ashton said.

"We?" I asked confused. After all, it was my problem.

"Yes, because we support you. Were all in this together, remember?" Calum smiled at me.

I had the best friends ever.

We finally called a cab, and asked him to drive as fast as it was permitted by the law. Luckily, there was not too much traffic. We never know, here in New York city!
