Sophie's pov

I've spent a week at Luke's place. Between school and my friends, I had barely the time to think about Dylan. I cried for nights before getting over him. I realized I didn't really loved him, he was more like an adventure. But then, I felt alone, even tho I had Ash, Mikey, Cal and Luke. I was trying to avoid Dylan the most I could, so being at home, where he was working with my mom, wasn't a good idea.

Plus, I had so much more to worry about. First, the tour, which was coming up so fast, we were leaving for months so it was a lot of preparations and second, my graduation.

*Graduation*

Every senior students were wearing a black gown, and under, fancy clothes. It wasn't a little thing, graduating from High school!

As I made my way to my seat, just like in rehearsal, I spotted Michael's green hair. Next to him were every single person I loved: Ashton, Calum, my parents, Luke and his mother. The boys were all dressed in a tux, which made me laugh quietly. I waved to them and the ceremony began.

They finally called my name, and I made my way to the stage. I saw my family and friends standing up, cheering and applauding for me, while I had been handed my diploma. The principal asked everybody to be silent.

"This student, is really special to us, he said. She has been loved by every teachers, even the one who never had her in their class. Sophie was determinated to give her best in every classes, and that is why we are honored to tell her, before anybody, that she has been accepted into the medecine and surgical program of Columbia!"

My mouth dropped open as everybody started to congratulate me once again. I looked at my friends from school who were all cheering, along with the parents in the crowd. Mine were standing up, sending me kisses and my mother crying. Then, my gaze locked with Luke. He was trying his best to smile, even if I saw his eyes being full of pain.

The principal asked me to do a speech, as he placed me infront of the microphone.

"Wow.. I wasn't ready for this, since I was only hoping to receive my diploma!" The crowd laughed.

I looked at my hands, looking for words

"Since I was a little girl, I've dreamed about Columbia. I was looking at pictures of the campus with my parents, imagining myself there. Now that this dream might finally come true, I don't know if I am ready." My eyes filled up with tears as I looked back to my mother who was staring at me in confusion.

"I've always pushed myself to give the best of me. I wanted my parents to be proud of their daughter. Going to University is a big change and a new step in our lifes. We have to take every opportunities because we never know where they will take us. I have been accepted in the medecine program and I am scared. Because I know every single faces next to me, I am scared of the new. I think it is the same for my friends, my classmates who became another family, while the years passed. I hope everybody will find their way, just like I will try to figure out my own. Thank you"

The crowd applauded as I left the stage and the ceremony. I needed to be alone.

I was staring at my refection in the mirror, when the door of the bathroom openned. I saw my bestfriend coming in.

"Luke, I swear I was going to tell you about Columbia."

"You don't need to appologize. You had to take the best decision for your future, just like I did for mine."

Because I thought he was going to be mad at me, I felt like if a hundred pounds had just left my shoulders. He openned his arms and I hugged him.

"Congratulation, by the way!"

The day ended with a fancy restaurant, that my parents decieded to pay for everybody. We were all there, enjoying the night and celebrating  my graduation.

It felt weird to be surrounded by all these familiar faces. I knew it was the last time we would all be reunited before a long time.

Luke's pov

The boys and I were now on tour for the second month. We were now in August, which means that Sophie and I turned eighteen during a day we had a show. We brought her on stage and made the fans sing along with us the Happy birthday song. We were now in New York, at the end of the States tour.

We were at an interview, with a young women called Ally. We loved that girl, she was just so funny. Everytime we went to her talkshow, we had an awesome time. I was then looking forward to see her again.

"I heard that you guys are on tour right now! Who's going to one of their shows?" Ally asked the crowd. They all cheered, screaming that they would be there. It felt amazing.

Ally asked us questions about the tour, about the album and finally, we performed She look so perfect and Amnesia. There was only two hundred people in the public, and I was already excited to performe infront of a thousand of fans.

Before we could go backstage, Ally announced that there was a special period of questions, where some of the fans could ask us something. We sat again on the comfy couch and waited for the questions.

"Which song of the album is your favorite?" a young girl asked us. We all mentaly agreed on the same song.

"It is really hard, because we wrote every songs in this album, so we all kind of have an attachment to every single one of them, but our favorite is Amnesia. We all lived a heartbroken story so we all put some of our experience in it." Micheal answered.

"Are you going to dress up in your Super hero costumes while you'll performe Don't stop?" A boy asked shyly in the microphone.

"We can't tell you!" Calum laughed. We didn't want to spoil the surprise.

And the questions went like this for almost half an hour. Finally, the last one, a blond girl with curls, took the microphone.

"Where did you get your inspiration? Were you thinking about someone in particular?"

The boys were all silent, staring at me. I didn't know what to say, since Sophie was backstage looking at us from the dressing room.

"Looks like Luke is blushing..?" Ally insisted.

"Yeah, hum.. well, obviously the inspiration came from our previous relationship and..."

What was I supposed to say? I sent a look to Sophie, who was now in sight, backstage. The boys sent me a confused glare as I stood up and grabbed my guitar.

"Actually, there is this girl, that I know since forever. She always have been there for me, and even for the boys. You all know her since she is always with us, and because she is my bestfriend. Sophie, come in here!" I called for her.

I saw Ally being completely confused because I was changing all the planing of the show. Sophie, who wasn't sure about what I was doing, came on the stage and stood up next to me.

"Luke!" Ash whispeared, but I waved him off.

"Sophie, this is a song that represents the way I truly feel towards you." I heard the crowd go 'aww' and it made my confidence grow.

I've practiced this song ever since I knew she was existing because the lyrics felt like if they were written for me.
