Sophie's pov
It was my last week, before the Christmas break. I was so excited to come back to Cali and see my family. University took all my time so I came back only once at home, and it was when one of my friend from high school had lost her father. I had to be there for her.
I still couldn't believe I was in New York, studying at Columbia. Everything was like in my dreams, and I really enjoyed my program. My mother was proud of me and talked about my success to everybody on her way.
I was in my room, studying for my next final exam, my roomate Valery, a tall tan skin with red head, next to me. My headphones were on, playing a song of 5Sos. A wave of nostalgy raised in me, when I thought about them.
"Are you ok?" I heard Val ask me.
I guess my face expression had change..
"Yeah.. It's just that I am missing my friends."
"The ones from the boyband?"
I nodded. I went back to my studies, even if my head wasn't really concentrated. After ten minutes of reading the same sentence, again and again, I decieded to go for a walk.
"I'll go grab a coffee. Want something?" I asked Val while I stood up and took my keys.
"Sure, bring me a donut with a french Vanilla. Please!"

The weather was nice in New York. It was winter so I had to wear a little coat and boots. There was like two centimeters of snow, but it was not enough for me. It was something new I had to deal with. I had never saw snow in my life before, except from books or tv. I really enjoyed this kind of weather, because it was a huge contrast with the sunshine 365 of Cali.
I walked in my favorite coffee shop, where I usually see no one I know. It's pretty quiet and classic, so I loved to come here to study.
I waited in line when I heard a familiar voice behind me. I froze in place, I didn't want to turn around. As I paied my stuff, I tried to make my way to the door without being noticed.
"Sophie?"
Crap.
"Dylan! Hey.. hum.. How are you?" I asked, trying to look natural and polite.
He was exactly the same, from the last day I saw him, on the beach. Still really hot. His hair was a bit longer, but it had the same brown curls. He smiled at me and his smile hit me, just like the first time. He looked taller, maybe bigger from the shoulders. He was working out, I could tell.
"I'm good, and you?"
"Fine." I looked at the girl next to him and wonder if he was still doing what he did to me. She seemed younger, which means vulnerable. Poor girl.
I turned away and tried to leave, when Dylan called me back.
"Soph, I really want you to know that I am sorry about what I did to you. You didn't deserved that, but I couldn't stop myself. Even if I was having a good time with you, I had to be surrounded by other girls. It's stupid I know, but I'm working on it."
"Oh really?" I said, glancing at the girl, waiting for him inside of the coffee.
"Grace is my friend from here. I never tried anything on her, because she is not attracted by boys. She has a girlfriend."
I looked at her and couldn't believe that this girl, who seemed so girly in that pink coat and Uggs, was attracted by girls. Well, that is good for her.
"She is helping me to get over my problems. She is studying in psychology, so she is acting like a psychologue to me!"
We laughed a little, but I couldn't stop thinking about what he did to me, and probably to many other girls.
"I am glad that you are working on your shit, but I have to go."
"It was nice talking to you, Soph. Maybe we could hang out soon?" Dylan asked me, with hope in his eyes.
"As friends, maybe."
His face dropped, so I explained.
"My heart belongs to someone else."

Luke's pov
I was at the airport, with Ashton, Calum and Michael. We were waiting for our plane to take us back to LA, where our parents were waiting for us. I was so excited to be back home and to have some vacations. The life of an artist is really harder then people can think. We were always on tour, going to sleep late at night and woke up early in the morning. Performing was exausting, just like dealing with the fans.
We were now at the airport of Brezil. It had been a crazy month. We did almost one show every night, going from town to town. We were all dead, tired as ever.
Micheal was sleeping on a couple of bench, while Ashton was on the phone, probably with his parents. Calum came back from a store where he bought us some food. He sat next to me, handing me my favorite chocolate bar.
"Nervous?" He pointed to my shaking hands. I nodded.
"Don't be. It's time for celebration and love! It's Christmas! Everything is possible!" He did a little awkward dance to emphasize what he said.
I loved his enthusiasm about life and the positivism he tried to give me, but I couldn't stop myself from being anxious.
"It has been almost five months since we didn't talk. She did her stuff, starting University while we did ours. I can't believe we didn't even called or texted once. Nothing..." My voice was shaking, as I felt my eyes burn a little. I wasn't going to cry. Not again.
Before we could add anything, they called us to go in the plane. We left the country around two in the morning, heading back home.

I know it's a short chapter, but it's only to show where Sophie is and what she thinks. The next will be bigger, I promise!!
