Chapter 16: I Don't Snitch!

I drove to Billy's house to pick him up for school. He came outside, and went in. "Morning Peter."
I smiled and drove off.
"So what's the plan?"
"What are you talking about?" I asked. "Don't act stupid. The plan to not get noticed from you know who."
I hit the breaks. "Ow! What the hell?"
I haven't thought about it. What was the plan? If Jack finds out that I'm driving with Billy, he'll think I won't be on their side. Plus he'll might tell Cotton. "I have one. Listen to me very carefully."

I parked near the lot and fast paced myself into the building without them noticing me. I went inside and scanned around checking if they're here. I went in relief until I startled upon a noise.

"Morning Parker. Did you pick whose group you're in now?" asked Jack. Everyone gathered around us.
"He probably picked them instead of us. What a waste of time and a bet. Have fun dying from drugs," Said Neveah. This close. I am this close to attack her.

"Actually NeVeAh, I pick you guys. I guess I'm useful as you thought I am."
She pulled a middle finger and without hesitation I did the same. 

"That's what I'm talking about Parker!" He excitingly made me did our handshake and hugged. Since when did he started liking me? "Alright alright", said Alex. "Leave him alone so he can breath. Plus, we need to pick up our homework from the nerds. See you later prick."

"It's Peter."
"I don't care," he yelled while walking away. Dic*.

While I was walking to my locker, I noticed Mia. I ran to her, trying to create an conversation.
"Hey Mia!" She turned around, rolled her eyes, and walked class. I stopped. Why would she do that?

I turned around to stuff my belongings in my locker. As put them in, people who I've never met in my life, nicely greeted me. Including the jocks, normal people, weirdos, and pretty girls. I went inside Chem class and sat down. Kailey came in and greeted me. I greeted back and noticed Mia looking at us with a dissapointed face. Phil, an annoying student, turned around trying to chat.

"You and Mia will be a good couple," he said. "Yeah right. Don't you have a project to do?"
"I do but my partner isnt here so...anyways."
"I rather be friends with her."
"Right... but the way she looks at you? I mean I'm not gonna lie, she's cute. I guess you rejected her from asking you out to homecoming."

"You have loud mouth do you ever noticed that? Like EVERYONE in this room can hear you."
"I know everyone can hear me I'm not deaf."
Then why are you- nevermind.

"Thanks for the small chat Phil. Bu-"
"Also are you and Kailey dating now? I mean you guys been hanging alot than-"
"SHUT UP PHIL!" I yelled.

Everyone in the class stared at me. Even Mr. G. My face turned red. "Mr. Garfield can I use the bathroom?" I asked. "I don't know can you?"

I don't know can you find a real job and make some REAL money?

"Is it a yes or no?" "Go but come back in 2 minutes."

Without hesistation, I ran through the halls and into the restroom. I looked myself in the mirror. Ever since I hang out with them, they always question with 'are you dating kailey?' or 'is you and Mia dating?'. What's their business if I'm dating one of or neither of them? I don't understand.

Suddenly, someone opened the stall and came out to wash their hands. He then dried his hands, and looked at me. "Hey Peter."

I rolled my eyes. "What do you want Marcus?"

"Nothing. I came here to use the bathroom and skip to see my girl. But since your here, what's wrong?"

"Why is everyone dying to know about my life? Y'all didn't care when I was irrelevant. Why now? And I'm not telling you what's wrong. You'll probably snitch."

"Me? Snitch? Okay you got jokes. You know nothing about me. I don't snitch. I blackmail people."

"What?"
"You heard me. I know all of your dirty secrets Parker."
"I don't have any secrets."
"Really? Cause I know you not only pick us, but your studdy little gay freinds."

My stomach went down. He knew. But how?
"How do you know?"

"You don't need to know what I got the information from. Anyways, not only your bet is weighing you, but this. If you don't confess your feelings to Kailey that you like her and tell Jack too, I'll drop it to EVERYONE in the school."

I looked in a confused face.

"What did I do to deserve this?"
"Let's just say you disrespected me when I needed help to skip class."

"Your doing this because I didn't help you skip french class for having sex?"

He had a straight face. "Say it or I will." He left the bathroom.

I'm in deep trouble.

I walked to the popular table and sat down to eat. The others came as well. "Peter, just to let you know, we meet under the stairs then get our food." Alex said.

"Isn't the stairs near the line to get food?"
"Congrats Captain Obvious," said Neveah. I gave her a death stare.

"Exactly," he said.
Kailey came in and kissed Jack then sit down. She smiled at me. Of course, I smiled back.

"But what are we going to do over there?"
"You ask alot of questions," Alex said. "We're going to squeeze in our way to get food."

"So basically cutting in line."
"Like I said, congrats Captain Obvious."
Middle finger up.

I started eating my food while others started gossiping and talking crap like they can't discuss other subjects. Mia walked pass our table to get a drink from the vending machine. I quickly went up to walk towards her.

"Hey," I said. She turned, looking at me in a tense way. "What do you want?"
"A conversation. Look the project is due next class so-"

"I already finished it," she interruptly said.
"Ok. Um... if it's about what I said yesterday, I'm sorry."
She shed a tear. "I got to go." She tried to leave, but I pulled her wrist. I examined her arm. They were marks. But not like stretch marks, beating marks. I looked at her then her arm. She pulled it away from me, standing for a minute, then staring at me.

"Are those... beating marks?" I asked. She spoke with a high tone. "No! And don't you ever touch me like that again." She tried to leave but stopped her again. I went in front of her. "You're getting getting abusive at home are you?" "Leave me alone." She looked at me with tears coming falling down from her eyes. "Are you?"
She stuttered. "I.I.."

I quickly hugged her tightly. She cried onto my arms, holding my waist. I didn't want to let her go. She didn't want to let me go. I felt angry and surprised. One of her family members is abusing her. Who the hell does that?

"Do you want to talk in the library with Kailey and I?"
She nodded while still holding me.
"Stay here."

Its been long gone since I updated this book. I'll post another before Christmas. I guess you call this an 'Christmas Miracle.'..... Anyways stay tune ; )
