Fast forward to Friday
The day before homecoming. This week has been rough for me. Mia was pissed just cause I talked to a female. I caught Jack cheating with some girl, and now I am being punished for coming home late last night. I guess I'll tell you the story.
Arav, Jamal, Mia, Billy, and I went to a restaurant to hang out. Jamal always talks. But that day, he rarely opened his mouth. He just sat there at stared onto the window. we were both concerned about him. Even Billy. "Jamal, are you okay?" He kept staring at window, with no response. "Jamal!" He startled and turn around. "Are you okay?" i asked.
"I'm fine, really. I was just thinking."
"Thinking about what?" asked Billy.
"Stuff. Anyways, are you guys ready to turn up tomorrow? I'm ready to dance my signature move."
"Gross." Billy rolled his eyes. I replied to Jamal's statement. "Tomorrow's going to be fun. Can't wait to see Cotton's reaction when I win the bet. Say goodbye Cotton and hello to Samantha."
Mia's face changed. "Who the hell is Samantha?!" she yelled holding on to my shirt. Billy took her hand away from me. "Relax Colombian. It's Cotton's real name until she changed into the devil's child."
"I thought she changed her name because she doesn't claim as a girl," Arav said confused.
"She did. But Billy is just being dramatic. And speaking of that word, I'm about to be dramatic if they don't serve our foods. It's been over 40 minutes."
"Tell me about it," said Jamal.
While we were waiting for our food to come, Two teenagers, name Connor and Hunter, came in. They were both tall, wearing preppy clothes. Makes sense since their parents are rich as hell. "Hey Parker!" Connor yelled. I stood up and shook his hand. " What are you doing here, I thought you were going to the party." They both glanced at my table. My friends looked nervous. "Why are you sitting with them?" I started to sweat and stuttered.
"He was just saying 'hi' that's all. He wasn't hanging out with us," Jamal said.
"Whatever, are you coming to the party or what?" Hunter asked tense.
"Yeah, I am. I was just ordering food for my dad. May I ask why your here?"
"Picking up food for the party. We'll see later." They both picked up the boxes and walked out the door."
"Thank you Jamal. I owe you."
"You don't owe anything. Just go before they get suspicious."
"What about the food? And I'm not leaving until we go together."
Billy stood up. "Don't you want to win? Do you care about your life? We're fighting for you. All of us. Go to the party without us. I'll be fine I promise."
"Ahem? What about us?" Mia asked.
"This is not about you, it's about Peter Parker." He turned to me. "Don't make me say it again, go!"
I hugged each of my friends. These are what friends supposed to be. support one another no matter how stubborn, stupid, and selfish they are.
"Why are we talking like he's going to war? It's just a party and we'll see him tomorrow."
I laughed and went out of the restaurant.

"Welcome to the pre-homecoming party." a guy yelled with nothing on him except an underwear. Gross.
