Today after school, my friends (Billy, Jamal, etc) and I went to my house to play some video games. I wanted to check on Mia, so I called the rehab center.

"Good Evening this is Greenland Rehabilitation center how may I help you?"
"Hi I'm calling regarding to a person whose in there, Mia Rodriguez?"
"Would you like to speak with her?"
"Yes ma'am."
"The only way to contact Ms. Mia is by visiting the center. We don't let callers contact by phone. I hope you understand."
"I do. When can I visit her?"
"How about today at 4 o'clock. Someone is also coming at that time."

Someone? Who could possibly want to visit Mia than me?

"That'll be great. I'll see you soon. Have a nice day."
"You too. Goodbye."

Dropping my phone on the kitchen counter, Billy came in.

"Who was that?" he asked.
"The rehab center. I'm visiting Mia in 2 hours. "
"Oh how is that girl anyway?" Arav asked.
"She isn't just THAT girl. She's Peter's girl." Jamal said.
"First, I said. She's not my girl. And second, there's a reason why I called the rehab center."
"To check on your girl right?" Jamal said.
Billy and Arav laughed.

Why do they think Mia and I are together? Is it bad to check on someone whose not the same gender? Like I said before, sure she's pretty. Like really pretty. And shes intelligent and humble. Like Kailey. But we're friends. I think.

As I drove to the rehab, there was a nice sign. The building looked like a four seasons hotel. I guess she feels comfortable. I got out of the car and went inside. Never thought this place looks like a palace. Usually, a rehab is one level home. But this place is about 3 floors. I went to front desk and asked if I could see Mia.

"Just write your name on the sign-in sheet and walk down to the dining area on the right."
"Thank you."
"Your welcome." She said in annoying tone. Rude.

I walked down to the dining hall and saw Mia. But then I noticed someone else there. I couldnt believe in my eyes. It was Alex.

Why would he, out of all the places he can go, be here?

I slowly walked up to the table till Mia and Alex saw me. He made a ugly evil face reaction.

"Parker! he said. It's so good to see you."
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Just comforting this gorgeous girl of yours."
I cringed.
"Hi Peter," she said in a pretty tone. I smiled.
We then had a long eye contact.
"Isnt it great that you two lovebirds are dating?" Alex said.

That was the time for me to get back into reality.

"Seriously Alex? For the last time, we're not dating."
"Whatever. Anyways I'm leaving. Have fun making or shit like that."

I rolled my eyes. This dude is either deaf or ignorant because he can never get it right.

I sat down slowly. Mia then smiled. "I am really glad you are here."

Me too.

"It's nothing. I said. Just came to check if you're okay. Is there any updates on your mom?"

She startled and put her head down. "Um...she got deported from the National Board of Security.

"Oh. I'm sorry to hear that." She grinned.
"It is fine. I am actually communicating with Papa."
"Really?" I asked. She nodded. "Were you relieved that you can finally hear his voice for a long time?"
"Yes. It was like heaven hearing from him. Unfortunately I will not be seeing him till Thanksgiving. After Christmas, I will be moving with him."
I looked confused. "If you're not living with your dad till Christmas, who will you be living with."
"Kailey's parents." I was shocked and contended. Never knew they will care for her by letting stay at her house.

"I'm happy for you Mia." She smiled with glee. Her eyes started to sparkle and her checks turning light red. She looked beautiful. Inside and out.

"Ms. Rodriguez," A lady said who worked at the rehab center. "Your visiting time with guests is over."
"Okay thank you," She turned to me with happiness. "See you tomorrow."

"See you."
