I walked up to my table. "Kailey, can I talk to you?" The teens stopped talking and straight looked at me. "Um sure."
She got up from her seat,  walking towards me. "Make sure you take care of her, " Alex said.
Am I a bodyguard or her friend?

We walked to the library. She stopped, looking worried. "What's going on?" she said.  I turn around and explained about Mia.

"She's getting abused at home?" She asked.
"I believe this but I'm sure. She maybe cutting herself."
"Peter, there's a difference between beating and cutting marks. This is a serious matter. What kind of animal would do this thing?"

Kailey's right. Who would do this to Mia? She's the most sweetest and respectful girl I know. Probably the only girl next to Kailey.

"Where is she?"
"In the library."

We both went inside to look for her. After about 10 minutes, we haven't found her. Kailey went to the bottom corner of the library.

As I was searching her, my phone buzzed through my pocket.

Kailey ♡: found her. Meet me in the front.

"Let me see the marks Mia. Please"

"¡No! No quiero tu ayuda después de que me robaste a Peter."

"What are you talking about Mia?! I never stole anything from you especially Peter."

"Entonces ¿por qué te llaman para ayudar? ¿No ves que no le gusta de usted?"

"Trust me Mia. Peter has far feelings of me unlike you. I'm trying to help when he told me you have beating marks. This is a serious matter. But since your acting like a 'puta', I guess you don't need my help. Goodbye."

"No wait!" I said. "Please help. She's having this snotty attitude because of me. What are we supposed to do?"

She sighed, rolled her eyes and walked down to Mia. "I'm only doing this to help you not stealing Peter or whatever." Kailey checked the bruises around her arms. She gasped slowly. "Whose abusing you at home?" She asked.

Mia put her head down starting cry. She didnt want to say the name. "If I say the name, you will call the police and deport not only her but me too."

"Her? It's a woman?" Mia nodded.

Kailey and I looked at eachother. The lunch bell rang and it was time to go back in our classes. "Ok hears the plan." Kailey said.

I went to my third block which was robotics. Usually I sit in the back with Jamal, but he wasn't in class. I sat near the door. I wonder why he wasn't at lunch or class today.

Class was over and my final block was French. I really don't pay attention to what the hell she says. I'm just taking the class for credit. I sat in the back as always and put my head down. Many people were calling my name but I ignored them. Until I heard a voice I wished I regret hearing: Marcus. Once again ladies and gentlemen, I'm f#$%d.  As soon as he came to the back greeting other students, he sat next to me of course, putting his head down.

"So next week is homecoming. You got a date?" No response. He ask again. "Parker. You got a date? Or youre going with your gay freinds. I hesitantly put my head up and stared at him disgusted. "First, they're not gay. Second, I'm going with someone."

"Aww. He said. The dumb cheerleaders finally had the courage to ask you out. How cute."

"You're not helping."
"Was I really in the first place?"

"Just leave me alone. You done enoguh trying to ruin my life."
Marcus paused. "Homecoming. Tell her or I'll tell them."
"I didn't forget that but thanks reminding me  for how long you'll still be alive."

After numerous of French nonsense, school is finally over. I headed up to the student parking lot with Mia meeting me there. Billy has to find a way home cause the populars can't see me with him.

"Get in," I said. My phone buzzed. I picked it up. "Hello?"

"Forgetting someone?" I ran my fingers through my face.
"Billy just get a ride from Arav."
"Are you crazy? I'm getting a ride with that freak."
I rolled my eyes. "Then go with the bus."
"Any other suggestions?"
I sighed.
"Why won't ride with Kailey. I'm sure she can take you home since you're friends."
"Ok." I cut off my phone and went inside the car. "Who was that?" Mia asked. "Billy. But don't worry about him. He's not joining us."

I started the car and drove home.
