I can feel my heartbeat racing in my chest, feeling my pulse pounding in my head and throughout my entire body. I've not once had a gun pointed at me, and certainly not at this close range. Glancing over at Jimin, he's got a worried and fearful expression on his face as well.
"Drop the goddamn gun, Taehyung. He didn't do a fucking thing to you and I swear you won't leave this fucking room if you so much as touch him, let alone pull that goddamned trigger." Choyeon threatens with a dangerously sharp glare. Taehyung just chuckles darkly though.
"You act like you can scare me." He says with a smirk. I mentally groan, not wanting any of this. I just want the fucking gun away from my head.
"Just tell me what the hell is going on, Taehyung. You don't answer this time and you won't have a chance to pull the fucking trigger before the gun is dropped." She snaps. Taehyung rolls his eyes, putting the gun away.
"We'll both be attending the event tonight. Apparently, Lim found some information and is concerned. There's supposed to be three or so people attending tonight's event with killing you on their schedule. It'll be on you to identify them and take care of them. He refused to give me names though." Taehyung explains with a seeming annoyed and disinterested look.
"I'll look into it. Now get the fuck outta here." Choyeon responds with a nod of her head. He rolls his eyes but nods his head before walking away from the sofa altogether. Jimin and I both watch him leave, Choyeon following him to the door before slamming it shut behind him. She stays standing there for a moment, a quiet sigh falling from her lips as she stays facing the door.
"Cho-ssi, are you gonna be okay?" Jimin calls softly, a worried look in his face.
"Jiminie, you act like I can't handle everything on my own like I've been doing for fucking years now." She responds, turning away from the door as she walks back over to us, a stoic look on her face.
"Cho, I'm not talking about you handling the people. I'm talking about you specifically. Are you going to be okay?" Jimin reiterates. She just pulls a smile that we both know is face before rolling her eyes.
"I've made it this far, Jimin. Haven't I? I think I'll manage." Choyeon answers before looking to me.
"Go head downstairs. Pull one of the dark suits from my room and get your ass ready. We only have a couple hours before we need to leave here." Choyeon says, motioning with her head towards the door. I simply nod in response, not entirely sure I have a voice anymore after that little fiasco, as I stand up.
"I'll be down to get you when it's time. Don't let Taehyung intimidate you." She says when I reach the door. I freeze for a moment before forcing myself to leave. I keep my eye out as I step to the elevator to go down a floor, not wanting someone to catch me off guard again. When I finally get to my room, I quickly enter and lock the door behind me. Looking down at my hands, I purse my lips at the sight of the boxes there. One with a gun, the other holding both the drugs and the gloves.
Sighing to myself, I go over to the desk in my room and set them all down. As I sit down in the desk chair, I pull out a cigarette and my lighter. Quickly lighting the stick, I take a drag off of it before blowing a cloud of smoke out. It eases my nerves a little but nowhere near as much as I'd like it to. Instead of getting ready for the moment, I try to ease my nerves and consider attempting to decipher the shit that was said earlier. The only problem is that none of it adds up...
Why did Choyeon make it sound like neither her nor Jimin wanted to be there? Why was Jimin so damn concerned about Cho being okay tonight when she can all too easily handle herself? Has she been having sex with Jimin before, considering from what he'd said about rather doing it with her and Jin? Why're the two of them so close anyways when he's dating Jin?
Groaning quietly to myself, I come up with no answers as I begin to have a headache. Pursing my lips, I eye the bottle of pills that Choyeon had given me. As much as I don't want to get myself fucking stuck here even more than I already am and don't want to form an addiction to anything else since I've already got one on cigarettes, they're extremely tempting. She'd said it'll help ease and numb everything up. Maybe it wouldn't be the worst thing to try? Besides, she said she uses it herself so it should be safe, right?
Huffing, I take out two and dry swallow them before getting up to start getting ready for tonight. As much as I don't want to go and don't want to do any of this stuff, I can only hope that this shit well help take the edge off. So, I head over to her room and grab one of the all dark suits from the corner where she said they'd be and bring it back to my room before starting to get ready. I take a quick shower and brush my teeth once more before dressing in the suit. Much to my surprise, there's an armpit holster as well as I mentally groan knowing exactly what that's for and what it means.
Just as I finish up, there's a knock on the door before I hear Choyeon's voice. I quickly jog out of the bathroom and over to the door so as not to keep her waiting.
"Are we ready to go?" She questions, cocking a brow at me. I give her a small smile and nod my head.
"Good. Let's get going then. We don't need to be late." Choyeon says before walking away from the door. I follow her out of my room, locking it behind me before we step into the elevator that's arrived.
