Jungkook POV

"Shit, I didn't expect there to be this many people there." Yoongi hyung mutters from his desk as he, Namjoon, and I work on filling out paperwork on the arrests.

"Just think, there woulda been a hell of a lot more if we hadn't ended up killing nearly half of them." Namjoon says wryly. I merely roll my eyes, choosing to stay quiet and work on filling out the paperwork I've got set in front of me.

The office falls silent once more with no one responding to Namjoon, all of us returning our focus to the boring sheets of paper. I don't mind the silence though, it kinda just feels right after everything that's happened and with it being nearly midnight now. Of course, we just can't have that, now can we? Where would the fun be if we stayed quiet the rest of the night to get the work done?

"Hey guys?" Yoongi speaks up, curiosity in his voice. Sighing, I set my pen down and look over to the other two men from my desk.

"What is it, hyung?" I ask softly, tired from a long day of work that still isn't over yet and seemed to be lacking an end for that matter.

"We never saw The Girl or Hoseok in there. Did we? We got everyone except for The Girl..." Yoongi points out. Namjoon swears, shaking his head as he slams his pen down on his desk.

"Goddamn it. Now we're going to have to go out and fucking find the two of them too. Hoseok will end up getting arrested this time too, considering he probably helped hide her." Namjoon mutters bitterly as he runs a hand through his hair. I chuckle quietly though, amused by my hyung.

"Where you laughing, Kookie?" Yoongi asks with a frown as he looks over at me. I cock an eyebrow at the two of them, a smile still on my lips.

"You honestly think we're going to have any chance in hell of finding either of them? You really think it's going to even be worth our time?" I question, finding this truly amusing.

"Why the hell wouldn't we? We just brought down the Empire and the Jung Company. Why wouldn't we be able to find the two of them?" Namjoon states. I glance back over to Yoongi, finding a bit of realization hitting him as he looks over to me with a small smile, nodding his head.

"We didn't bring anyone down, Namjoon. All of this was Hoseok's doing. Think about it. He came in here with full confidence in what he was telling us to do. And he told us not to come in a moment earlier than what he'd told us. We were nothing more than a part of his plan. He said it himself the other day, Namjoon. He's escaped before. He just ended up going for a bigger escape this time than before, and we were a part of that." I explain, leaning back in my chair as I cross my arms over my chest. Though, it's clear that he's still not following.

"Do you think he was working against us all along?" Yoongi asks me curiously. Smiling over to our boss, I shake my head.

"I don't think he originally planned to work against us. He wanted the freedom he was being offered and he seriously didn't want to go undercover into his rival's gang. I don't know where exactly along the lines that it happened, but he did well. Hoseok knew the games he was playing, and he played us well. He turned the tables on us without even giving us any sort of warning. He won this one. And, honestly, I think he won fairly. I'd say just let him be. We wouldn't have found him the first time if it weren't for the accident. I don't think we're gonna find them this time. I don't think either one of them wanted the life they were given, and I think it's time we let him win as he did. Let them be."
