Handing Choyeon the bottle of pills and whiskey as I sit back down on the sofa next to her, she immediately curls into my side carefully as she opens up both bottles. She tips the bottle towards her other opened hand, knocking out several pills before offering it to me which I gladly accept. I knock out five pills, just wanting desperately for the pain that's shooting through my entire arm to cease already. We both knock the pills back with some of the whiskey, her taking up more of it than myself before I set both bottles down on the glass coffee table.
Finally, the two of them finish up over on the bed. Cho and I just sit here silently, her curling into me as she cries softly whilst I run my fingers through her hair and whisper soft comforting nothings into her ear. It takes Jin and Jimin another couple minutes before they're both somewhat decent again, beginning to make their way over to us. Jimin's eyes quickly widen when he realizes she's crying, rushing over to us and slipping down to his knees in front of her as he gently places his hands on her knees. Weakly, she looks up at him, whimpering softly as tears continue to glide down her pain stricken face.
"What the hell happened?" Jin questions, a hard glare set on me as he comes over to his crying sister. He carefully tries to pick her up so as to pull her from me, but she yelps out, hands instantly reaching out for me as she begins crying harder. His eyes widen in surprise, frowning at her response as he gently sets her back down on the sofa. Within seconds, she's back to being carefully curled into my side, being cautious with her stomach where she'd taken a bullet just the night before. She nuzzles her head into my chest, still crying softly as she lets Jimin and I comfort her.
"W-What...?" Jin questions weakly, clearly hurt by his sister's actions.
"Cho, baby, it was just Jin hyung. It's okay." I whisper softly in her ear. She whimpers in response, lifting her head up to look at her brother. Giving the older boy a small smile, I carefully pick Cho up and move the both of us further down the sofa so that there's space for Jin to sit. Hesitantly, he sits down beside her before she latches herself onto his side instead, crying even harder. I purse my lips as I watch them, not even noticing Jimin moving to sit on the other side of me. It's not much of a surprise the four of us fit on the sofas, longer than the usual ones you would find in stores, I wouldn't be surprised if it were custom made. I only realize Jimin's sat now next to me when he gently wraps his arms around my waist to pull me into him.
I gasp lightly in surprise at the touch, looking back at him with wide eyes as he provides a small comforting smile. Hesitantly, I give into him, letting him pull me back into his side and comfort me as well, unknowing that I'd been in need of some comforting myself.
"Shhh. It's okay, Jhope. Just relax a bit, baby. You're alright." Jimin whispers softly in my ear as he gently rubs my sides in a surprisingly comforting motion.
"Taehyung interrupted the meeting tonight. He... He was the one who had ordered the attack on Choyeon last night. Tried to get her fucking trapped in a goddamn room so they could just easily take her out. He tried to ruin the signing tonight. Managed to get him the fuck outta there though." I speak up, trying to finally explain to the two boys what's been going on. Jin's head snaps towards me in surprise, eyes wide and lips parted whilst Jimin's motions hesitate for a minute before starting again.
"He... what?" Jin mumbles out in confusion, clearly not wanting to believe it.
"Taehyung ordered the attack on her last night. It's why Lim wouldn't tell Taehyung who it was that was in on it. He must've had a feeling it was linked to him. He tried to interrupt the signing tonight, coming over and shit talking Cho to try and get the men to back out. We... also found Namjoon tonight. He was at the restaurant where the signing was being held, followed us out of the restaurant till she pinned him in an alleyway. He's been working in the higher end investigation department and has been helping with locating raids and attacks on some of the drug and prostitution rings. If we really wanna make matters worse, Jungkook called him just before we were about to let him leave after agreeing to work with us." I finish explaining quietly, Choyeon's soft cries continuing all the while.
"Holy shit... Namjoon is still alive? And Jungkook... her childhood friend? What the hell has that kid been up to?" Jin breathes out, trying to take it all in. I nod my head in response, feeling Jimin's hands travel around my sides and up my arms to my shoulders and down to my thighs as he does a little massaging along the way. It helps relax me a bit, easing my tensed muscles and I relax back into him a bit, feeling comfortable with him.
"Jungkook is working for the department with Namjoon. Sounds like he didn't realize his childhood best friend was one of the people he's been trying to take down alongside Namjoon. Just found out tonight over the phone that his own coworker was family to the Empire as well." I answer quietly, letting my eyelids flutter shut as I grow more and more tired.
"Come on. I know Cho has a nine o'clock meeting tomorrow morning and our father will be pissed if she misses again. Let's get the two of you to bed so that you can rest up. Jiminie and I will get you both up in the morning." Jin says softly, the sounds of Choyeon crying softening as well. I can hear it in her whimpers just how tired she's becoming as well, and I can't remotely blame her. She's been through a hell of a lot. And I've got a lot to wrap my head around too for that matter.
"Come on, Jhope. Gotta get up, baby. Jinnie will handle Cho but you're still awake enough sadly." Jimin whispers softly in my ear. Sighing quietly, I nod and force myself up, following Jin out of his room and over to Cho's so that the both of us can get some rest.
