Choyeon POV
Keeping an unnoticeable eye on Jhope as he leaves, I watch to make sure nobody approaches him and that he gets out safely. Nodding curtly to myself when he's gone, I keep my eyes scanning the floor and upper level balconies at all times to keep an eye out for the people.
"Ms. Kim, I'm surprised to see you here." Daesu speaks up as he approaches me. I cock an eyebrow at him, not in the mood to discuss any matters with anyone.
"And why would that be? I'm meant to be out and attending events these days, you should know that, Daesu. Why? Were you expecting father to come instead?" I question calmly, keeping my eyes scanning. He merely chuckles though.
"Did your daddy teach you to be so rude to the people that work for your Empire, Ms. Kim? I know he has a lot more respect than what you've just shown me." He challenges. Clenching my jaw, it takes everything in me not to knock him out here and now.
"My apologies, Daesu, but I'm afraid I've got other people on the floor that I need be speaking to." I say, excusing myself before walking away. Though, keeping an eye on my surroundings, I come to the finding that Daewoo continues following me around with a small distance between us.
Target number one: Daesu
Eyeing up the balconies, I notice one pair of eyes that quickly avert from me when I glance up. He's talking into some sort of earpiece that he's wearing, the only one who seems to be doing so or even wearing one.
Target number two: balcony shot
Humming quietly, I mentally nod to myself at the fact I've picked out two of the three dicks trying to kill me. They're both wearing hidden holsters, the fact noticeable from their stance and walk. Though, the one on the balcony is holding a rifle as well, just like the rest of the men up there so that he can blend in. This isn't going to be easy.
As I'm walking, Taehyung suddenly approaches me. He's got a mildly worried look on his face as he walks to me, eyes constantly bouncing around most likely to keep an eye on everything.
"Hyungsik thinks he's found the three people who are planning on coming after you. I guess we must've walked past two of them and he overheard them planning something to get you while your here in the mix of the crowd. Get rid of a ton of people already being loyal to you and whatnot while they get rid of you as well." He informs me quietly, voice only loud enough so that I can hear. Humming, I keep my eyes scanning and nod my head in response. I've spotted two of them already, but one was on the balcony.
"He suggested for you to head upstairs. There's multiple rooms up there for you to hide in whilst we handle them down here, dragging them outside and getting rid of them." Tae suggests. Pursing my lips, I think the suggestion over. On one hand, I stay down here like a sitting duck and wait for them to come after me, killing other innocent people. On the other hand, if I'm over in a room secluded from the rest of the party then nobody should get hurt other than those involved.
"Okay. I'll get heading that way soon then. Stay safe, Tae." I respond softly with a curt nod. He nods as well before beginning to make his way elsewhere in the party. Keeping my eye out for the people who are watching me, I slowly and indirectly begin to make my way towards one of the sets of stairs. I watch them though, taking my time to get towards the stairs as I continue turning down drink after drink.
Hoseok POV
"Mr. Kim. It's Mr. Kim Taehyung." Hodong finally gives. My eyes widen at his words, quickly recalling the conversation from earlier today in Cho's second room.
"Give me the fucking gun." I snap, reaching my hand out without bothering to look back at the two guards. Seconds later, it's placed in my hand and I waste no time in painting the walls with his brain. With the close proximity, it truly is a disgusting result, but it's the least of my concerns at the moment. Quickly slipping the gun into my holster, I race out of the room and out of the building altogether.
As soon as I exit the building, I sprint as fast as I can to get to the building. It burns the hell out of my lungs and legs, not used to the extreme physical activity, but I push through it in hopes that there's still time. That I'm not too late.
It doesn't take long before I'm bursting through the doors of the giant fucking building that the event is being held in. Slowing my pace as I enter the party area, my eyes frantically scan the floor for Choyeon. Though, as I do spot her, I catch Taehyung just beginning to walk away from her. It's clear even from where I'm stood so far away that he's smirking and I know for a fact that he's set her up.
With my heart beating erratically, I quickly begin pushing my way through the crowd. Muttering 'excuse me's and 'sorry's as I go, it feels like forever trying to get through everyone just to get to the one person I need to reach right now. Eventually though, I finally reach her just as she nears the stairs. Latching a frantic hand onto her wrist, I quickly yank her back. Having pulled a little too hard by accident, she stumbles backwards with a quiet yelp that nobody else catches. Instinctively, I catch her, helping her up and pulling her back to me.
"Sorry, Ms. Kim. You can't be going up there right now." I murmur in her ear before she spins around in my arms. Her eyes are slightly wide as she looks up at me, clearly noticing my lack of professional care for my appearance at the moment.
"Hope, what the hell is going on?" She hisses quietly, though the look on her face of mild surprise and concern doesn't change.
"We need to get you the fuck outta here now. It's Taehyung. He's the one who set this up. He's setting you up and we gotta get the hell outta here now."
