As we walk into the apartment complex, I finally notice the discoloration of the black of Choyeon' suit. She's becoming noticeably weaker as we walk over to the elevator, her pushing the button.
"Cho, you've been shot." I whisper softly, not even realizing the fact that this is the first time I'm being let into the building without having to be stopped to remove my shoes.
"So have you. Twice." She murmurs quietly, looking down at her body to inspect what I've just said. It finally clicks to me that the stinging pain that I'd felt in my arm earlier had been the pain from being shot.
When the elevator finally arrives, we step inside and I watch as she hits the button for the very top floor. Both of us are silent the entire way up, no words exchanges as we both decide to try and ignore the searing pain of the bullet wounds.
Reaching the top floor, I follow Choyeon out of the elevator and over to Jin's door. She doesn't even bother knocking, instead just opening the door and going straight in with me on her heels. I close the door behind us, looking forward again to find Jin and Jimin looking over at us from where they're at curled up on their bed together. However, the moment they see Choyeon limping just the tiniest bit, they're both quick to their feet and rushing over to us.
"What the hell happened?!" Jin exclaims, rushing to us and dragging his sister over to the sofa. Panting lightly, Jimin helps me over to the other sofa in their room.
"Jinnie, they've both been shot." Jimin whimpers as he looks over at the older boy. Jin then glances over at the two of us, seeming to take notice of the bullet wounds on my arm. He mutters a string of swears under his breath, standing up and rushing upstairs.
"Damn it, Cho. I thought you said you could handle this?" Jimin questions, his voice cracking as he looks over at her with glossy eyes. She looks over at him, giving him a soft smile.
"I did, didn't I? I'm still here with Hope, right?" She points out gently. However, Jimin doesn't respond, whimpering quietly instead. She sighs, motioning for him to go over to her. He follows orders, rushing over to the sofa she's on as he curls up in her side and begins crying. Biting my lip gently, I watch as she holds him carefully, comforting the younger boy as she runs a bloody hand through his hair and rubbing his back. Seconds later, Jin rushes back down with a first aid kit in his hand along with a box of other things. He doesn't say anything or ask questions at the moment, instead rushing straight over to me as he sits down beside me.
"Wait, shouldn't you be helping her first?" I ask worriedly, not liking the fact that he's wanting to treat me first.
"She'll only insist that you get treated first, Jhope. She's my sister, I know how she is." He answers softly, giving me a small smile.
"Cho, what the hell do you want me to give him? I'm gonna need to get that bullet out of him and he's gonna need a blood transfusion with how much he's lost already." Jin asks her calmly.
"Taking blood from me. Give him some OxyContin. It's not as strong as morphine but he'll get addicted to that shit quicker than you can fucking blink." She breathes out, still clearly in pain and trying to deal with how much blood she's losing.
"Are you fucking insane, Cho?! There's no way in hell I'm taking blood from you! You're still losing blood as it is!" Jin exclaims frustratedly.
"Just get it fucking done, damn it!" Choyeon yells. Jin sighs, clearly excepting the fact that he's got no choice but to follow orders.
"I'm going to get the OxyContin. I need one of you two over here so that he's got a hand to hold when I get the bullet out." Jin informs them. They nod and both come over to me whilst Jin disappears again.
"You're doing so good, Jhope. Thank you for getting us out of there. I would've walked right into the trap if it hadn't been for you." Cho whispers softly as she sits next to me, gently tucking a piece of my hair back into place. Looking over at her, I simply give her a small smile.
"It's my job, right? Work with you and protect you." I breathe out.
"Sounds like the two of you worked really hard tonight, yeah? And Jhope here did really good work." Jimin coos gently as he looks up at me from where he's sat on the floor at my feet. I feel myself blush just a bit at his compliment.
"Yes, he did great work tonight." Choyeon says, leaning her head on my shoulder.
"Cho, don't even think about trying to sleep right now. That's the last thing you need to be doing while you're fucking busy bleeding out." Jimin scolds gently with a frown. I catch her stick her tongue out at him, though she doesn't respond.
"Sounds like maybe the two of you deserve a reward for having done so well tonight. And you're both being so strong." Jimin whispers softly, gently rubbing one of my knees and one of hers. Cho hums quietly in agreement, nodding her head with a light smile as Jin returns.
"I like the sound of that, Jiminie. Only problem is that I'm going to need to speak with my father tomorrow about all of this."
