"Namjoon?" Choyeon questions quietly with wide eyes, stumbling towards me as I wrap an arm around her to help keep her steady. At this point, my head is spinning. I don't know how she knows him or what the fuck is going on. Namjoon sighs heavily, leaning his head back against the wall as he runs a hand through his hair.
"Choyeon." Namjoon barely whispers, giving her a curt head nod with a seemingly almost annoyed expression on his face.
"Where the fuck have you been?! What the fuck are you doing here?! What the hell?!" Cho suddenly snaps, reaching up and smacking him across the face. Namjoon merely takes it, sighing softly with a small frown on his face.
"I was just at the restaurant for dinner, Choyeon. I wasn't there originally to spy on you, but when I realized it was you those men had been waiting on, I had to. Which is why I was following you as well." Namjoon explains quietly. The glare in her eyes is dark, pitch black like the night as she glares at him.
"Where the fuck have you been all this time, Namjoon?! You do realize that everyone thinks you're dead, right?!" Cho snarls. He simply scoffs though.
"Did you not think that's the fucking point?! I don't want this life! I never did! It's fucking disgusting and pathetic! And you're worse than the Jung's!" Namjoon shouts frustratedly. My eyes widen at his words, pulling Cho a little closer to me.
"Shut the fuck up, Namjoon." I growl lowly, finding myself glaring at the taller male. He glares back at me, scoffing quietly. Cho sighs quietly, running a shaky hand through her hair as she shakes her head.
"You do realize that I can't just let you go, right?" Choyeon says softly, looking up at Namjoon. He rolls his eyes, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Actually, Choyeon, you can. It's as simple as getting this dickhead to take the gun away from my head and letting me walk away." Namjoon tells her as if it's simple addition. I shake my head though.
"No, Namjoon. You wish it were that simple. These type of things don't play out that way. But you wouldn't know that, right?" I cut in. The taller man just groans, covering his face for a moment in annoyance.
"And what exactly is going to happen then?" Namjoon questions with a sigh, clearly just wanting this to be over already. Choyeon hums softly in contemplation for a few seconds, resting her head against my chest.
"Where is it that you work right now, Namjoon?" She counters quietly, looking up at him with a blank expression. There will definitely be many more Valium pills to be had when we get home tonight. And no longer just because of the gunshot wounds either.
"Why the fuck should I tell you that?!" Namjoon exclaims enraged. I tsk him, pushing the barrel of the gun further into his temple, causing him to wince and put his hands up.
"Where do you work, Namjoon? It's a simple question, don't make us have to end you for real this time." Choyeon warns, threats in her voice.
"Law enforcement. The higher end investigation department." Namjoon answers quietly, defeat in his voice.
"So you'll know when they're planning raids and attacking my men then, yes?" She checks, the taller simply nodding silently.
"Perfect. You'll be our eyes and ears on the outside then. I want to know when they're planning anything, what's being figured out, what's being released, if they're planning raids and attacks. Follow that simple task, Namjoon, and you've got yourself a deal and your life back." Choyeon informs him. His eyes widen, lips parting in surprise.
"Are you fucking crazy?! That'd be the end of our department! We'd be shut down so fucking fast because it would look like we're incompetent!" Namjoon argues loudly and angrily. I tsk him once more, shoving the gun further against his head to shut him up.
"It's your choice, Namjoon. Either you side with us or you really are as dead as everyone believes you to be." Cho says with a shrug. The male glares, gritting his teeth as he looks at her.
"Fine." He finally gives in, hanging his head in defeat.
"Good. Then you can-" Before Cho can finish her sentence, his phone rings, interrupting her. She raised an eyebrow at him questioningly, arms crossing over her chest.
"Answer it. Put it on speaker." She tells him, motioning with her hand for him to answer. He heaves a heavy sigh, pulling the device out of his back pocket as he answers it and immediately puts it on speaker. The contact ID is displayed for us to see, and I glance over at Choyeon curiously when I hear a small gasp. Her eyes are widened once more, sweet lips parted in surprise.
"Hyung? Where the hell are you? I thought you were just running out for a nice dinner and coming straight back?" The boy questions.
"Sorry, I got caught up a bit with someone I've not seen in ages." Namjoon says dejectedly.
"Hyung, is everything alright? You sound upset about something. Plus, you never stray when you're on the job. Not once. What's going on?" The voice on the other end argues immediately. Namjoon sighs, running his hands through his hair.
"Jungkookie. It's been quite some time. I have to say, I'm a little disappointed to find you're working against me as well as my own brother."
