Hoseok POV
As we finally return to the apartment complex, I step out of the car and stand next to the car door as Choyeon gets out. Slamming the door shut behind us, I follow her into the building where I'm forced to remove my shoes once again.
"Let him keep the cigarettes and lighter, boys." She says, not bothering to stop and wait next to me or even sparing a look in their direction as she heads over to the other side of the lobby. The men just nod their heads, taking my shoes from me before I cross the floor as well.
To say that I'm grateful she's letting me keep my cigarettes is a fucking blessing right now. After going through all those meetings today, I don't know that I'd be able to make it through the night without needing at least one smoke. I may have been witness to murders before, but it was very rare and it's been years since the last one. Not to mention the fact that whenever I did witness one, it was usually just a bullet to the chest and it was always someone else committing the act. Not someone being forced to kill themselves. Not someone gutting the other person. Not someone fucking strangling the other. None of that shit.
"You can smoke in your room and whenever your in mine. No smoking in Jin's room. It's bad for Jimin and neither one of them like it to begin with. You can head straight up to their room. I'll be a few minutes behind as I need to stop at my room first." Choyeon informs me as we step into the elevator. I remain silent and simply nod in response.
When I eventually reach their door, I knock loudly as I try to ignore the sounds of moaning and grunting coming from behind a door that I hadn't originally noticed was across from theirs. In seconds, Jin opens his door and offers me a smile as he lets me in.
"Jimin should be back shortly from the sounds of it. Where's Cho?" He asks curiously as we head over to the sofa in their room to sit.
"She said she needed to stop at her room for a moment before coming up. Said she'd only be a few minutes." I inform him. He just nods.
"So how was your first day on the job?" He asks teasingly, nudging my side a bit. I heave a small sigh, shrugging with a sheepish smile.
"Definitely hadn't been what I'd been expecting." I answer sheepishly. He frowns in response.
"She had people killed again, didn't she?" Jin asks softly. I bite my lip, looking out the wall of windows instead of looking at him.
"Seng was abusing his power as one of their drug dealers. Taking product and profit. Ahn was trading people for drugs only to end up with the people being murdered. Kwon made shit comments about you and Choyeon in regards to sexual activity, and was apparently also taking people from Ahn as well to try some of them out." I answer softly. He sighs, running a hand through his hair.
"Didn't even end Joon while she was at it?" We both turn our heads in the direction of the door as Jimin walks in with nothing but that dangerously short shirt on, a scowl on his face.
"No." I nearly whisper, mildly wishing he'd been one of the bodies dead by the end of the meeting.
"That bastard deserves to rot in fucking hell and die in the most painful fucking way possible." Jimin mutters angrily as he walks over to us and plops down on Jin's lap. Jin just gives him a small smile before kissing his cheek.
"His time will come soon enough, baby." Jin tells him with a small smile.
"Yes, and that bastards time is this evening." All three of us snap our heads back towards the door once again as Choyeon walks in. Though, my eyes travel almost instantly to her hands where she's holding a bottle of whiskey and a much too full glass in the other hand.
"Cho..." Jin says with a light frown, his voice soft as he looks at his sister with worry. She rolls her eyes in response though.
"Don't need your fucking pity. We all have our own way of coping with shit." She snarls as she sets the bottle and glass down on the coffee table before us. She walks away, heading to their kitchen and rummages around before finding whatever it is she's looking for. Walking back over to us, she hands me a glass. Looking at her in confusion as I take it, I'm sadly too slow to connect the dots until the whiskey is already being poured.
"What's this for?" I ask in confusion, watching her carefully as she sits down in the chair beside the sofa.
"To celebrate. You did well today." She answers blankly before knocking back half her glass. My eyes widen in slight surprise, though I know better than to say anything. Instead, I take a small sip and manage not to make a face at the burning liquid, soon finding peace and ease with it.
"Were you the one to do the killings, Jhope?" Jin asks cautiously as he looks over at me. I shake my head in response.
"Nope. Made Yong do it. He needed to man the fuck up anyways." Choyeon answers coldly, knocking back the second half of her glass before refilling it. Jin sighs from the other side of me.
"How much are you planning on downing, Cho?" He asks with a tiny frown. She pouts slightly, shrugging in response. Holy shit, she's fucking adorable with that pout... Could fool anyone into thinking she's innocent as hell.
"Enough. Least till Joon shows up. He'll be meeting his fate this evening, and I figured the three of you would enjoy the view considering he's nearly fucked you all over." She answers, shrugging once more.
"Wait, what'd he do to Jhope?" Jimin asks curiously, looking between me and her.
"He tried to fucking rape him just outside my room in the fucking hall. I'm done with his bullshit and it's time for his ass to go. Hope, I want you to have names for me by morning so that I can fill those now empty slots." Choyeon explains.
"Cho, how many pills did you take?" Jimin asks softly, hesitance in his voice.
"Why the fuck's it matter?" She questions, cocking an eyebrow at him. He gives her a disapproving look.
"Seven." She answers calmly with a shrug, taking a few large gulps of the liquor in her glass. Both Jimin and Jin make sounds of disapproval in response, though it's pretty damn clear she's ignoring them. Even my eyes widen slightly at her answer.
What the hell did she take?! And why's she taking pills and drinking liquor like it's water? What exactly is she trying to cover?
