Tsukiyomi's P.O.V

Ruins and despair were the only things I could see then. It looked like an earthquake had trembled and shook Yokohama, terrorising anything and everything in the vicinity.

My eyes wandered around the street we were walking down in. Buildings have crumbled, and debris decorated the roads and pedestrian path. Cars had toppled over with some lining up one after another in a chain crash. Greenery were caught on fire as firefighters tried putting them out. People had devastated looks on their faces, desperately getting to safety. Parents were seen trying to calm down their crying children while they themselves didn't look that much calm. Some injured, were getting tended to at a temporary shelter. There were some sights of people using their abilities to work around the debris and bring people to safety. Whether they work for the government or a private agency or organisation, I do not know.

"Are you sure this is the way?" I questioned Kouyou, who was walking beside me on my left. "You aren't just trying to kill and waste time, are you?" I gave her a stern glare.

Kouyou's head turned slightly to her right and her eyes flitted onto me. A grin grew on her lips and a sarcastic chuckle left her. "It's up to how you think." She replied, her hand twirling the stick of her opened umbrella. "Do you trust me then?"

"It's up to you. To guess if I trust you or not." I answered back, using her own words against herself.

Laughter left Kouyou and she took a turn and walked into an alleyway. "If you say so. It's this way." She said, gesturing me into the alleyway while she closed her umbrella. I gave her a look of disbelief and a frown. But all she gave me was a glowing smile; one that doesn't reach her eyes in the least.

I grunted and nudged my head into the direction of the alleyway, signalling for her to start walking in first. Kouyou's smile widened before her expression was out from my sight when she turned and walked in. I looked around myself first before I continued after Kouyou, following behind her.

It was cold and chilly, giving me the feeling that an impending doom was about to befall on the both of us. Or so, on myself. Cautious about my surroundings, I couldn't stop looking around me. The last time I walked in these kinds of places, I got ambushed by the Port Mafia.

"They aren't here, stop being so fidgety." Kouyou spoke, her voice echoing in the narrow space.

"Speak for yourself." I said. "You're not the one following an enemy."

A sigh left her. "You really see us as enemies now, don't you."

She meant that as a sentence and not a question.

I stared at her back as we walked down the path. My mind slowly wandered back to the days I had spent in the underground organisation. Memories of the time with the members there and being in their care or just having a leisure talk while sitting down and taking in highly priced wine.

"I have not forgotten all those times we have spent," I mumbled under my breath, "nee-san."

Kouyou faltered in her steps and she stopped there and then. I stopped a few steps behind her, my eyes never leaving her back. Her shoulders shook lightly, and I heard the sound of soft chuckles, albeit a little held back. "I see," was the only response she gave before she continued on her way. I stared for a while longer before catching up to her.
