Tsukiyomi's P.O.V

Just as Dazai and I were standing by the side of the road whilst waiting for our called cab, the brunette kept asking about what the surprise was later in the night.

"I can't tell you. It would ruin the fun." I replied the same answer for the past ten minutes or so.

"Ehh? You can't keep leaving me hanging on the ceiling with a rope at my neck. Curiosity can kill a human you know?" Dazai stated with a knowing look, as if it would actually happen to him if I withhold and kept the information from him for any moment longer.

"Then I would have died long ago." I gave out a dry laugh. It was true. Most incidents I was in were caused primarily because I was curious and wanted to know what was creating them in the roots.

"Then I wouldn't have met you. And that would be a wasted coincidence."

The cab that we had called came and pulled over the side of the road when we signalled for it. Dazai graciously opened the door and gestured for me to sit in first, being the gentleman, he was by holding the door open. I thanked him, and we settled down at the back of the cab.

"Do you think us meeting is a coincidence, Osamu-san?"

Dazai had a thoughtful look on his face, apparently having multiple questions running in his mind. He let out a choked laugh before I saw a closed-eyed smile spreading across his face. "No. I don't think so. I think it more as... a chance, fortune, fate."

"As cheesy as ever."

"Hey! That's not it. I actually do feel that way."

"However you say." I hummed and glanced away from him, looking out at the moving scenery through the window. What he didn't manage to see was the growing smile that tried appearing on my own face which I forced to keep it down.

The car drove for about an hour or so before we reached our drop off point closest to the designated area where Q was held captive in which was situated in the middle of a forest. The both of us walked down the pathway before it ended just at the start of a forest.

"What do you think of the end result for this mission?" I asked at the moment we stepped foot off the pavement and onto the starting entrance of the forest up ahead.

"We rescue Q, and everything goes well according to plan." Dazai replied.

"... Must we really rescue him...?"

"Like Shacho said, we can't leave him in the hands of the Guild, for if we let him be in their hands any time longer, it might actually cause everyone's death in Yokohama this time."

I bit the inside of my cheek, my fingerless gloved fists clenched by my sides.

"Why? You harbour hatred for Q?"

"Who doesn't." I answered within a heartbeat. "He had made a few of my friends go mad and went on a killing spree in the Port Mafia. Up till now, they still feel the guilt of killing those who were innocent. Part of those who died in the hands of my friends were part of Chuuya's men. That's why he's hellbent on hating Q." I lifted my head to meet Dazai's eye's. "I'm sure you feel the same way. Q had caused multiple, innocent deaths in the organisation. And most of them were just for his own sick pleasure." I hissed out angrily.

Silence fell upon the both of us. The only sounds that could be heard was the chirping of birds and insects, the faint rusting of leaves as they swayed in the wind and the sound of grass being crunched under our shoes whilst we trudged upon the grassy path.
