Omake 3 Part 1 – Neko Tsuki is back again
Today was a particular day where everyone can come into the office in staggered hours.
Despite the special occasion, there is always a particular member—who is forever strict to himself.
Footsteps echoed in the hallway as a pair of shoes trudged towards the Agency's door.
Stopping outside the door, the person looked at his silver watch on his wrist. "Just in time."
Just as he was about to open the door, his name was called out.
"Kunikida-san, you're here."
Kunikida's hand hung in mid-air as he turned his head to the right and saw Atsushi and Kyouka standing by the elevators they had just came out from.
"Ah, the both of you are here." Kunikida greeted them.
Atsushi smiled. "We came early to fill in on the report about the case we handled yesterday."
Kunikida hummed and nodded his head in approval before opening the door in front of him. "That's good. Even though you have the choice of coming in later, you are checking in early. Improvement. You're learning well."
The smile on Atsushi's face grew wider as he beamed in delight; having earned his senior's approval of his character—especially when it was from the strict and time-compliant Kunikida.
When Atsushi and Kyouka stepped into the Agency, they noticed that Kunikida was standing in the middle of the common area office. Unclear about why he was standing there instead of going to his table, Atsushi questioned him.
Kunikida reacted by turning his head to face him. Glasses reflecting the glare from the sunlight filtered in from the windows, his hand lifted off from his side and pointed in a direction in front of them.
Following his finger, Atsushi and Kyouka faced the tables meant for the members to use.
Atsushi's eyes narrowed before they went wide like saucers when they saw a ball of brownish-black fur on Tsukiyomi's table.
Atsushi could only mutter out incoherent words. "I-Is-Is that...?"
Kyouka's eyes couldn't help but glitter in happiness.
A sigh left through Kunikida's nostrils. Closing the distance, he approached the fluffball. Picking up the fluffball by its nape, he held it up in the air.
As he thought, it was a cat. Its coat fur was coloured brownish-black with both of its front paws and tip of its tail coloured white. Looking at its eyes, there were of two different colours. Its right was a light sea blue colour while its right was a shade between dark orange and gold.
"I knew it." Kunikida groaned with an eye-roll. "First time is a charm but the second time doesn't work, Akira. You're just going to piss me off if you continue to pull stunts like this."
The cat in his hand, having been woken up from its sleep, was glaring straight at him. Its lips were pulled back, showing its sharp canines. It hissed a few times, its tail fur starting to flare.
"Uhhh... Kunikida-san... I think you angered her." Atsushi commented.
"As if I cared." Kunikida snapped. "If she is going to carry on with this, it will make our life harder!" Kunikida shoved the cat in Atsushi's direction, letting them see the cat in full view. "She has many more stuff to do! Other than using the time to finish her paperwork, she's here slacking—AH!"
