Omake 1 Part 1 - Missing

It was another usual day for the members of the Armed Detective Agency.

As always, the first person to reach the Agency was the President, who comes in at least thirty minutes early to settle unfinished paperwork he couldn't finish the day before prior to the arrival of the other members.

Being able to do paperwork in peace and quiet, finishing them in one go, was not an often happening.

Why, because when you put an easily hot-tempered guy—Kunikida—and his partner who loves to tease him to no ends—Dazai—adding in a flustered Atsushi trying to calm Kunikida down and Tsukiyomi who laughs her stomach out, you get a very noisy work environment.

Which was almost every day.

The next few people who arrived at the Agency was the President's assistant Haruno, and the male version Tanizaki. Tanizaki was in early since he had nothing to do after sending his sister to school. Haruno was in early to confirm the President's schedule of the day and report to him, if not, to do any other ad-hoc duties as a secretary.

Five minutes before the actual office hours of the agency, a group of members came in. This group consisted of Atsushi, Kyouka, Kenji and Yosano. Tanizaki, who was sorting things out at his desk, greeted the new group. Kenji skipped to his desk and sat down; picking up his potted plant on his desk and looking at it. His face lit up in a cheery innocent smile.

"Ahhh another boring day at work. There's no clients or on-site work today. I want to be able to chop and hack someoneeee!" Yosano breathed out in a bored tone and slumped herself onto the couch meant for the agency's client when they came in to request for help or to get a meeting.

"You're not supposed to hack anyone to bits, Yosano-sensei!!" Horrified, Atsushi skidded to a stop by the couch and exclaimed out, his jaws dropping open to show his fear.

"Buttttttt!!!" Yosano groaned out in protest. "There's nothing to do here!! Ranpo-san won't be here for the day..."

"Ranpo-san won't be coming to work today?" Atsushi asked.

Yosano nodded her head. "An hour or so ago, he was called by the police to help with a case. He called Shacho about the case that asked for his help and Shacho agreed, so he had to go over and solve it. Shacho gave him the rest of the day off once he finished the case."

Curious about the case, Atsushi asked further. "What is the case about? Knowing the police, cases they couldn't solve easily are..." Atsushi pondered for a moment, "homicide, serial consecutive crimes, drug-related crimes, fraud cases..." he listed off.

Yosano giggled to herself. "The police aren't as efficient as they say they are, but they aren't as unreliable as to have that many cases they couldn't solve. The case that they asked help about is related to—"
