Tsukiyomi's P.O.V

"Oh, I see." My attention was taken when Chuuya spoke. I lifted my head and glanced at him. He had donned on a half grinning half surprised expression. "Tsukiyomi you—"

"Shut!" I yelled, turning my head away when I felt the rush of blood to my cheeks. Embarrassment bubbled up and I huffed out a breath.

A hand slid to my chin and forced myself to look upwards. My eyes met bright brown ones before they were closed to plaster on a close-eyed smile. "I'm sorry. I won't do it again." He apologised, wiping away a tear that had fallen with the pad of his thumb. "To you that is."

"Does that mean you're well enough to do that shit to me?!" Chuuya roared out from behind. The tick mark on his head grew, indicating his anger towards the sly brunette.

Dazai let go of my chin and turned on his heels. With a shrug of his shoulders, he replied, "Who knows~?"

"Bastard!!"

Most of the anger and frustration seeped away from my veins when I saw the smile on his face whilst he conversed with Chuuya. A ghost of a smile graced my own lips and I laughed once, wiping off the rest of the tears that pooled in my eyes. "I take your word for it."

Dazai grinned childishly before returning his attention to the behemoth monster in front of us. Whilst we were arguing, it had grown out more tentacles; increasing in size. "Now... How do we deal with this? Hm, well, I've got an idea." He pointed out. "Let's run?"

"Are you ******* kidding me?!" Chuuya exploded into rage and he grabbed at the collar of his shirt again. He snarled and grinded his teeth to show how much anger he was having towards his 'partner' attitude. "Stop joking around and come up with a freaking plan to kill that thing!" He pointed his finger at the still growing monster in front of us.

"There's no way. Let's just give up and die." Dazai held up his hand in a surrender. "We only have one more course of action."

Something struck him, and he let go of his collar from his hand. His eyes widened for a split second before it narrowed into a dangerous glare. "Don't tell me you're going to do something disgraceful."

Dazai returned his glare with a sinister grin. "It was after we had wrecked an entire enemy organisation overnight that we started being called the devastating rivals. But if I'm late to support you, you will die."

I looked between the two. "That day..." I tried bringing up the stories that I had heard about the two of them and how their names and partnership came about to be. One conversation with Chuuya popped into my mind and I pieced together the puzzle on the line of Dazai's thinking. "But if he used that, wouldn't..."

"I will let you choose."

"Let me choose?" Chuuya shoved his hands into his pockets. His glare turned more menacing while he pondered on the pros and cons. "...Whenever you say that..." He clicked his tongue. He turned around and faced the monster.

"Are you sure?" I voiced out, my eyes staring at his back.

"I don't have a choice, do I?" He snapped back. I could imagine him cursing at Dazai and thinking of million things to get back at him.

The corner of my lips turned downwards before I wished him a quick 'good luck'.

Chuuya took off his gloves and started chanting his activation speech for his hidden ability.

Dazai took off from my side and I looked to see him approaching the other blonde Guild member who had regained his consciousness a few meters away from us. He pulled out the knife he swiped from Chuuya previously and had the sharp side of the blade held towards the member's neck. "Curious, are you? That's the true form of Chuuya's gift. Corruption."
