Resu examined her surroundings with a narrowed gaze. Tashi-chan, she believed, was nowhere to be seen and now she had interrupted their practice. Cool.
"My apologies for interrupting," she said in what she hoped was a slightly sincere voice, "I'm looking for someone but they don't seem to be here."
The team watched her curiously but they didn't make a sound. The air was uncomfortable to Resu and she felt that the sooner she left, the better.
"Uh, well... Bye." She turned on her heel and was just about to step out the door.
"Hold on."
Resu growled to herself and turned back around. A tall blonde boy wearing glasses had stepped up near the orange haired boy, a neutral expression on his face.
"Aren't you Noakui Resu?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
The corners of Resu's mouth twitched unpleasantly. "I am."
The boy smirked.
"So let me guess. You were looking for someone to beat up?"
"Actually, for your information, I was looking for the person in charge of the clean up crew," Resu hissed, "so I can help clean this gym your team plays in. But, you know," she tilted her head back slightly with a thin smirk, "I can make sure it stays disgusting if you'd like."
He clicked his tongue in reply and an older boy came up behind him, gripping his shoulder tightly with a forced smile.
"Sorry about him."
Resu regarded them with a cold stare before retreating through the door for real this time. She bared her teeth in frustration as she stalked away into the courtyard, where she saw a few students tending to the school's garden. She made a noise of bitter amusement; if she had only looked there, she wouldn't have had to deal with that whole thing back there.
The intimidating girl walked over to the group slowly and admired the flowers for a moment. Although her appearance did not exactly state this, she loved flowers and even gardening once in a while. Resu breathed in the sweet scent of the flora before clearing her throat.
"Um, excuse me... Could you tell me where I could find Tashi-san?" She asked, as politely as she could muster.
A girl with black hair neatly pulled into a bun looked up from her work, blinking wide-eyed at Resu before breaking into a charming grin. She jumped up, wiped her hands on her apron and walked over to the taller girl.
"You must be Resu! Nice to meet you!" She held out her hand and Resu shook it loosely. "I'm Tashi Miyu, head of the school's cleanup crew," Miyu smiled pleasantly at the girl before her, and Resu felt a little put off by her friendliness.
"I assume Hanazawa-sensei told you about me then," Resu commented dryly.
"Yep!" Miyu rocked back and forth on her heels. "Now, did she tell you about what we do here?"
Resu shrugged in answer and Miyu took this as a no. She went on to explain the things they did in the "club", if it could be even called that. It mainly involved cleanup after the gym and other club locations were used, as well as just making the school look nice.
"We also help out clubs when they need it! All of us here are assigned a club or two to make sure they're running smoothly or if they need anything." Miyu paused and grabbed a piece of paper from her apron's pocket, unfolding it and reading it over. "Hmm... It looks like the only club left for us is the Boys' Volleyball Club!"
Oh, you've got to be kidding me, Resu thought to herself with a grimace as Miyu scribbled her name next to the club. She looked back up at Resu who quickly put a thin smile on her face.
