"Roman?" I pushed past Patton and collapsed on the couch in a fit of frustrated anger. "What's wrong kiddo?"

"He pushed me away!" I yelled as I threw my arms in the air. I saw the dragon's head bob up and I frowned. "Sorry, bud. Didn't mean to wake ya." The dragon laid back down and I couldn't help but smile. It's like he's a fucking dog... just sleeping in the corner all day. I wonder where he goes at night though. It's a bit concerning if I'm, being honest but I am trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.

"What do you mean? Who pushed you away?" I sighed stretching out across the couch like I was laying on one of those clique therapist couches.

"Logan! My own fucking brother pushed me right out of the door." I saw Patton wince and I shot him a concerned look. He just shook his head and smiled brightly at me, sitting next to me obviously offering a supportive ear. I just smiled. He really is just to kind. "He said he didn't want me making the same mistake he made. And I get that, I do but... He's my brother."

"Mistake?" I sighed and noticed that the dragon had moved beside us. It tilted his head to the side like a damn puppy and I had to stifle a laugh. Well, at least I know who to go to when the mood is tense. "What mistake?"

"It was the first time he ever opened up, ok? He never even told me until it was over and I saw how upset it made him." His confusion only grew and I yelled out in frustration. "He was projecting his sadness over losing his boyfriend on to me because he knows I care for... I... it doesn't matter. The point is he pushed me away because he didn't want me to push someone else away."

"Like he has any right... Take it from me, Roman, some people just don't know how to let others in." Ero, as I am calling the dragon after the legend of Eragon since I only ever see him during the day, growled and Patton wiped a tear from his eyes.

"No, that isn't Logan." He looked up at me with this look of sorry but your wrong. I just shook my head. "You don't know my brother like I do."

"I've met a few Logans in my time."

"Well Patton, You've never met him!" I snapped and he clammed up. "Sorry, it's just... He never introduced me to the man he loved. He never even told me he was with anybody. But that day, I saw something break in him. He was quick to anger and actually picked a fight our father. I pulled him aside and asked what was wrong and he shoved me out of his way."

"Well, that was rude."

"He was heartbroken." Patton scoffed and had to clench my fist as to not snap at him again. Ero looked at us both and rested his head between us unsure who to comfort. I just smiled and pet his nose, listening to him purr as I did. " He got so bad that he actually punched me. Seeing that he hurt me was the breaking point, he fell to the ground crying and It was horrible. Someone broke my brother's heart."

"Nobody broke his heart." Patton whispered and my eyes went wide.

"If you have something to say, say it. Otherwise, shut up and let me finish." He looked down and Ero glared at me. "Look I get it. You got your heart broken at some point in your life. That's why you threatened my the first day we met but..." Ero jumped back and growled, scaring the crap out of me. Patton instantly tensed up awkwardly fidgeting with his hands.

"Eh... Well... Actually Roman, I never told Virgil that so..."

"I figured that much. Why's Ero so pissed?" Ero looked over at me and tilted his head in confusion. He came over and placed his head on my knees. "You know what it's fine. It's not like I'm scared anymore. Ero's eyes went wide and he jumped up nudging my head towards the door. "What? What do you want?"

"He wants you to go outside with him." Ero growled at Patton, who threw his arms up in surrender. I'm guessing Ero isn't too happy with Pat right now. "I'd go.... or else he'll..." I felt as Ero grabbed on to my shirt by his mouth, picking me up, and Patton burst into laughter. "... do that."

He carried me all the way to the cliff edge and I started to get a bit scared. Not of him hurting me but... of falling. It's really high up after all.

"Ero, put me down." He dipped closer to the edge and my heart sank. " Now!" Next thing I knew I was on his back and Patton just kept laughing.

"You better hold on Roman."
