"Virgil kicked me out."

"What why?!" He gave me this look that said seriously and I shook my head.

"He just needs some time to cool. He's just a bit upset with me. I can understand. There's just one problem..."

"And what would that be, Patton?"

"I don't have anywhere else to go..." I just stared at him as he hugged himself and awkwardly looked away. "I gave up my home a long time ago.

"What do you mean?"

"I never told him. So he didn't know. I didn't mean to upset anyone. I just didn't want him going through what I did. He already as such pain and I just didn't want..." I saw the tears fall from his eyes and I pulled him, feeling him break down and cry. "I'm sorry, Roman. I just want to keep him safe."

"Hey, forget about it. You care that's all that matters. Now, what were you talking about, not hav..." He started to pull back, his eyes wide as he stared behind me.  I turned to see Logan standing there a look of utter seriousness in his face... but I could see the pain. I could see the cracks in his armor.

"Salutations... I was unaware we'd be having a visitor." Patton's smile faded and he looked away. "How long will he be staying?"

"For as long as Virgil is mad at him. He's going to stay here." They both stared at me with shock and I laughed. This is going to be fun.

"Roman I don't think..."

"Hush now Patton. I can't have you staying at some hotel or something. No, you're staying here with us. Just until Virgil calms down ok? How'd he find out anyway?" Patton facepalmed and Logan took this time to collect himself. He walked over holding his hand out towards Patton, who stared at it in confusion. Logan frowned, pulled his hand back awkwardly, and ran it through his hair.

"I don't understand the necessity of bringing someone else in. I can have a guest room set up in a few." He pinched the bridge of his nose and Patton narrowed his eyes. God, damn it, Logan, drop the mask.  I could see the stress rise in him as he stood there trying to work things over. "I'll let the staff know that we'll have another person in the house for a bit. Someones also going to have to let Father know so he doesn't get worried or something. In his frail state, an extra layer of stress would not be good. Then with everything else going on, maybe we should..."

"Logan." He looked over at me and sighed. He nodded and left, leaving Patton more than a little confused. He was acting like he didn't know him. Typical Logan, bottle till you break. If he doesn't let someone in soon... He'll break so bad, there might not be any fixing it. "I'm sorry about him. He's under a lot of stress."

"Roman, I appreciate the gesture but I can't. I didn't come here to put you out."

"Patton, your family. You could never put us out." He cringed at the use of us and I sighed. I'm getting nowhere with this. "Your staying and that's final."

"But what about..."

"Forget about Logan, ok? Dinner's in a few, i'm assuming Virgil doesn't have anything. Get him to come over here." Patton gave me this look and I took his hands. "Please Patton. I understand that morning are a no go... even though I don't know why. But you both mean a lot to me it would be nice to have at least one dinner with everyone." And maybe even introduce him to my father...

"I'll try." He sighed leaning back against the wall, as he fixed his glasses. "No promises though.
